What this job involves:                                                                                                            

Being the bearer of engineering best practices

Do you relish the idea of managing a variety of projects? This role requires someone who can efficiently and effectively oversee our delivery of operational and engineering services for not just one, but two different sites of one of our key financial institution clients. Portfolio size is 2.6 Mn SFT with 12,000 Employees across two locations.  

With such a lot at stake, you must have the ability to carry out and follow through on procedures that are vital in critical environments and general building services engineering (e.g., critical equipment maintenance and upkeep). When you do site reviews, you’ll keep a lookout for opportunities to develop, innovate, and share within the global engineering teams programmes that not only reduce costs, but also increase productivity. Spotting developments in international best practices and figuring out how to apply them locally is a constant, yet rewarding, challenge. This role also puts you in a unique position to promote our sustainability service strategies for achieving measurable improvements in energy use.

Bridging gaps in processes and controls

As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll contribute to the optimisation of processes, tools and documentation. At the front of your mind at all times is completion and compliance of the critical environment management (CEM) audit process. Keeping planned preventive maintenance programmes and service contracts in place and the work practices of contractors in check are also your mandate.

‘Safety first’ is your strapline and you’ll do this by maintaining safety procedures, including crisis management or business continuity and emergency procedures at all times. Getting our site teams on board our risk management and mitigation initiatives will also fall on your shoulders.

Bringing new technologies

Technology is our prime focus to deliver best in class services to our client in real estate which focuses around the ESG goals, employee experience and Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. The role is supposed to provide the leadership to explore and bring new technologies for our clients.

Real estate utility and interior fitout projects

Facility management is an evolving and 360 Degree role to manage clients’ expectations by ensuring smooth facilities operations, ensuring resiliency and delivering small/medium works projects for our clients. The role is supposed to provide the leadership to project management team to ensure smooth project delivery ensuring the quality.

Facility Management Operations

We focus in resilient  & data driven operation management to mitigate any risk to clients building operations. This role is supposed ensure the proper operation governance through on ground operation team. The scope of operations are mainly to both high side and low side operations, world class building management, efficient energy, HVAC, Utility and electrical operations.

Technical Skills

Develop and implement strategic engineering initiatives to enhance facility performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and automation systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering solutions with overall facilities management strategies.Manage complex engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.Develop and maintain engineering standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.Analyze facility performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.Evaluate and recommend new technologies and sustainable practices to optimize facility operations and reduce environmental impact.Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure high-quality service delivery.Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 15+ years of experience in facilities management or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of building systems, energy management, and sustainability practices.Excellent project management skills and experience with large-scale facility projects.Proven track record of implementing innovative engineering solutions in facilities management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and clients.Proficiency in relevant software applications, including CAD, BMS, and project management tools.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED, ISO).

In this role, you’ll manage our teams of engineering and facility management experts, ensuring that members have the skills, direction and information they need to level up their know-how in delivering engineering services. You’ll equip them with the right training and support them in getting their accreditations. Working hand in hand with line managers, you’ll also be responsible for recruitment, performance planning and evaluations, succession planning and pay and reward programs.
