Job Description:

The Role

As a Director, you will join Fidelity's Institutional Wealth Management Services’ (IWMS) Enterprise Consulting team and play an important role in delivering management consulting services to top clients and prospects with a focus on business strategy, service model, operations, products & services, and technology. Develop and exercise your wealth management acuity by helping financial intermediaries thrive while advising their strategy, identifying growth opportunities, improving their scale & efficiency, enhancing customer experience and practice management, and delivering insights that help drive confidence, clarity, and results. All while developing relationships across client leadership and with other industry centers of influence.

Further, you will support the development of standard methodologies, insights, and resources for broader Fidelity utilization as well as drive key internal projects that boost growth, scale, and efficiency for the organization. The role requires a standout colleague who works to improve the capabilities of the overall team, ultimately providing an outstanding experience to our clients and business partners.

Recent engagements included collaborating with a large insurance broker-dealer to help dimension opportunities to manage or reduce variable overhead costs through operations, service, and technology outsourcing (to Fidelity and/or other providers) to drive profitability. Other recent engagements have shared primary and secondary research to help intermediaries evolve their points of view on next generation clients and advisor mobility within the industry.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience within the financial services industry

5+years management or other consulting experience is a plus

Prior exposure to brokerage, wealth management, and/or RIA business models preferred

Series 7 and 63 preferred. Required to acquire within 90 days

Strong leadership

Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a sense of humor and a balanced perspective

Acting as an engagement co-leader and subject matter expert, directly engaging in consulting projects to help clients achieve their goals

Identifying Fidelity solutions that meet clients and prospective clients’ needs

Finding and collaborating with third-parties to help clients implement our recommendations or benefit from additional expertise

Partnering with Relationship Management and Sales, as well as internal business partners to identify key considerations and solutions that move clients toward achieving their goals

Maintaining extensive knowledge of Fidelity’s products and solutions and the FI platform, as well as our competitive position within the marketplace

Building and delivering clear, concise and insightful presentations to wealth management firms’ C-suites and Fidelity senior management teams

Developing points of view and helping to shape and implement the strategy of the Enterprise Consulting team to increase the value we provide to clients and differentiate from the competition

The Team

Fidelity provides comprehensive clearing and custody solutions, brokerage services, investment products, trading capabilities, and practice management and consulting to registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies, retirement record keepers, and DCIOs. This role works closely with the sales and relationship management teams, as well as internal business partners within Fidelity Institutional and broader Fidelity, serving as a gateway to Fidelity products & services.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$218,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
