Salary Range$129,200.00 - $213,200.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?As a key member of Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) team, the D&I Director leads and manages the ongoing advancement and implementation of Travelers Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and will lead various complex projects and initiatives that impact D&I within and outside of the organization. The ideal candidate is strategic, self-driven, proactive, and committed to creating equitable environments. Candidates must have a desire to create safe and authentic spaces for all employees. This role may manage others.What Will You Do?Under the direction of the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, consult with key Business and HR stakeholders to ensure D&I strategies are reflected in business plans and Travelers culture.Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align with the D&I strategy, specifically promoting efforts to educate and engage talent throughout the enterprise.Manage D&I educational programming such as the Diversity Speaks speaker series and Conscious Inclusion.Ensure alignment of D&I education options into toolkit for business partners, field councils and D&I champions.Monitor internal and external diversity trends and legal developments and serve as a subject matter expert to partner on diversity and inclusion with all key Business and HR stakeholders.Develop, lead and leverage external partnerships with key diversity associations.Leverage data and analytics to provide insights to key Business and HR stakeholders that result in innovative and dynamic ideas to advance D&I strategies.Manage approach to internal diversity councils, such as D&I Champions, to ensure alignment with broader D&I strategic objectives.Provide thought leadership and consultation to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Represent Travelers through internal and external speaking events and public panels on diversity and inclusion topics.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?7 years of work experience in Human Resources or the D&I space, preferably in a corporate environment.2 years of people leadership experience.Demonstrated knowledge and background in the D&I space.Demonstrated interest in D&I, talent management, advocacy efforts, and/or other related fields.Strong knowledge of current talent and D&I strategies and approach.Solid professional network in the D&I space.Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, partner organizations, and/or vendors.Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with long-term strategy goals and budget.Excellent project management skills. Results-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders. Possesses ability to translate sometimes ambiguous goals into operating plans and supporting initiatives.Expertise in drawing meaningful insights from data to create strategy, tell a narrative and operationalize solutions. Able to identify and track metrics of success.Strong teamwork aptitude and proven ability to build relationships and influence key partners; gets results through collaboration.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
