Position Summary:
The Event Strategy Director will be responsible for leading Inmar’s event strategy across the Martech division. This role will ensure the company’s presence at events reflects a strong, cohesive brand and drives meaningful business outcomes. The Event Strategy Director will develop high-level event strategies, oversee the execution of event plans, and ensure alignment between event goals and broader business objectives. As a leader, this role will provide guidance to a team of Sr. Event Managers, focusing on strategic brand positioning, operational excellence, and maximizing event impact.
Primary Accountabilities:
• Develop and lead event strategies to enhance Inmar's brand presence and engagement at key industry events and tradeshows.
• Oversee a team of Sr. Event Managers, providing leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Align event objectives with corporate marketing initiatives and broader business goals to optimize return on investment (ROI).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and leadership teams, to integrate event strategies into overarching marketing campaigns and product launches.
• Establish measurable goals and criteria for event success, track performance, and implement continuous improvements based on feedback and data.
• Drive strategic planning for event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with company objectives while reporting on the ROI of all major events.
• Maintain brand consistency across all event touchpoints, ensuring alignment with Inmar's corporate identity and messaging.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, vendors, and other key partners to optimize event planning and execution.
• Regularly update leadership on event plans, roadblocks, successes, and strategic insights to inform broader marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, event management, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in event planning and execution, with a proven track record of strategic leadership.
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team, with demonstrated success in mentoring and developing talent.
• Proficiency in project management platforms and software, including Google Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Monday.com.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience collaborating with executive and senior management teams.
• Strong negotiation, project management, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with complex components simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
