Director, Exec Development & Org culture

Job Summary

It is an exciting time to join our global HR team at IFF, as a Director of executive development and Organizational Culture you will report to the Global Head of Talent & Organizational Effectiveness and will be responsible for the design and implementation of an executive development strategy and portfolio that will include executive and high-potential development programs, succession planning, coaching & mentoring solutions, and leadership assessments to help accelerate the impact of our executive and senior-level enterprise talent.  
This role will be based in IFF’s New Jersey or New York locations in a hybrid schedule. 

The Director of Executive Development & Organizational Culture will play a pivotal role in shaping the senior leadership bench and pipeline through development initiatives that cultivate leaders who are agile, inclusive, and foster a culture of excellence by driving employee engagement, retention, and organizational success. This role will also lead strategic organization-wide culture and employee engagement programs and initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that fosters alignment with IFF’s business and people strategies.   


Key Responsibilities: 
•    Executive Development Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of a scalable executive development strategy and framework that aligns with IFF’s strategic business priorities and identifies the critical capabilities required for future success. Translate strategies into measurable objectives and initiatives that will drive comprehensive executive development globally across a diverse group of businesses.
•    Program Design and Implementation: Develop executive success profiles for key roles across the organization; design and deliver a portfolio of highly effective solutions that elevate critical executive leadership capabilities and drive organizational performance across the globe. Solutions may include formal learning programs, experiential learning assignments, assessments and coaching, with a balance between high-tech and high touch methods to create personalized development experiences. 
•    Assessment, Coaching & Mentoring: Design and implement a comprehensive executive assessment approach at the individual and organizational level; provide expertise in the application of rigorous diagnostic frameworks and data assessment techniques (qualitative and quantitative). Establish an internal assessment and coaching practice and certification program to develop coaching capabilities of HR Business Partners and teams.  Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to senior executives. 
•    Talent Assessment and Succession Planning: Support annual Talent Assessment and Success Planning processes; identify and manage talent pools; analyze talent data and prepare talent and succession presentations and reports. Provide thought leadership and guidance to HR Business Partners for the creation of actionable succession plans for critical roles.  
•    Culture and Employee Engagement: Leverage an evidence-based approach to assess commitment levels to culture change and transformation initiatives across the organization. Establish action plans to drive higher levels of change engagement among key stakeholders (individuals and groups). Oversee organizational employee engagement surveys, and drive employee engagement efforts through innovative programs and initiatives. Analyze data and share reports with stakeholders to facilitate conversations that translate organization culture and engagement data into measurable action plans.

Knowledge/Experience: 

•    10+ years of progressive experience and responsibility in leadership and executive development, with proven expertise in building, scaling, and refining impactful programs, processes, and frameworks.
•    Minimum of 6-8 years of HR experience, preferably focused on Talent & Development.
•    5+ years of talent and succession planning experience.
•    Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
•    Broad global perspective and the ability to lead with cultural sensitivity across a diverse, global organization. 
•    Results oriented, alert and adaptable.
•    Exceptional consulting and listening skills. 
•    Demonstrated influence management skills and can engage at multiple levels.
•    Expert coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization. Certifications in leadership assessments, such as Korn Ferry, Hogan required. 
•    Experience driving culture initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Travel requirements: this role requires 10% travel availability.
