Posted Job Title Director, Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management, Graduate School of Education Job Profile Title Director C, Student Services, Graduate Programs Job Description Summary The new Director of Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management program will lead the program beginning with the cohort entering in summer 2025. The successful candidate will build on the strengths of this important program while also bringing new vision and deep commitment to quality, innovation, and impact. Job Description The Director will: + be responsible for the overall direction of the program and its outcomes and guide the program into the future as a premier offering among executive leadership programs nationally + develop a supportive student community and offer an intellectually challenging experience for students from recruitment and admissions through alumni engagement + collaborate with faculty to envision and implement a rigorous, exemplary and relevant curriculum with outstanding instruction + support the faculty teaching and advising in the program + improve and update program operations, manage staff, and oversee budgets, and + enhance and secure its reputation as a preeminent higher education doctorate program. + teach one course (1 cu) in the program and chair dissertation committees. The Director will also contribute to the overall direction and mission of Penn GSE. The School offers eight executive doctoral and masters’ programs for working professionals that are seeking to advance as leading practitioners in their field. The Director of the Executive Doctorate Program in Higher Education Management will also serve on the Executive Programs Leadership Team. The position is hybrid eligible, with weekly presence on campus and required on-site participation at all instructional sessions, Executive Program Leadership Team meetings, program faculty meetings, and other school-wide activities. Salary is commensurate with experience, consistent with university human resource salary frameworks. Knowledge of higher education as a field of study and research necessary to teach and chair dissertations. All applicants must submit a cover letter. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Graduate School of Education Pay Range $74,476.00 - $170,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
