Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us . **Position Overview:** The Director, Facilities Operations is responsible for leading the Facilities organization at the BMS New Brunswick Facility. This includes providing technical support to maintain and operate the facilities, with full accountability for delivering the capital plans that support site Master Plans and client needs. For the New Brunswick site, this role is responsible for managing and delivering robust safety and environmental programs to all R&ED, Commercial and GPS occupants. **Key Responsibilities** : Site Strategy Development : + Support senior leadership in the development of strategy and future footprint requirements for R&ED, GDD, PD, GPDO and GPS + Ensure the relation and a good communication with the local authorities. Also ensure good integration and communications with local community to create a positive image of the company. + Leverage IFM Service Provider Service Delivery model to achieve site objectives and drive operating efficiencies General & Leadership : + Lead with a global mindset supporting both Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) and non-GPS organizations at the New Brunswick site + Lead and serve as the role model for an organizational culture that embraces respect, collaboration, passion, engagement, trust, integrity, accountability, innovation and growth, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement + Develop appropriate KPIs and executive dashboards in alignment with goals, objectives and strategy + Advocate for discipline excellence by partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer service and develop and capture industry-competitive best practices + Influence enterprise-wide business decisions through the ongoing leadership of the Capital review process. + Collaborate with the Global Capital Project Engineering team to ensure successful implementation of strategic capital investments at the site level + Own the Capital Plan for the New Brunswick site in alignment with key stakeholders and R&ED, GDD, PD, GPDO or GPS strategic direction + Ensure the implementation of global engineering process standards and project documentation + Provide leadership to project teams to anticipate and solution around complex projects issues + Deliver efficient, timely, and effective communications as needed to ensure all customers are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status + Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of staff including Maintenance, Cleaning, Grounds, Security, etc. through the IFM model + Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness + Assist with space planning and support businesses to relocate new offices and/or make decisions about leasing as needed + Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental health and security standards + Support the campus security organization and work with Corporate EOHSS to evaluate hazards and perform risk analysis building a culture of safety at all levels of the organization + Ensure that staff (including short duration and temporary contracts) are properly informed on hazards, report all incidents and near-misses through the SAFE System, and lead investigations to identify preventive measures preventing similar accidents in the future **Qualifications & Experience** : + Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, MBA preferred + 12+ years related experience in pharmaceutical engineering and/or facilities, including 8+ years managerial experience. + Demonstrated experience in technologies and infrastructures (i.e. HVAC, process, automation) + Demonstrated strong knowledge of GMP and FDA regulatory requirements and experience interfacing with regulatory authorities + Solid knowledge in validation of procedures and systems + Demonstrated ability to manage across a diverse workforce including delivering objectives through indirect (sourced) workforce + Willing and able to work hands-on and/or independently and with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment + Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, organization, time-management, people management, critical reasoning, decision-making, change agility, multi-tasking, strategic thinking. + Knowledge of most common office software + Experience operating within an Integrated Facilities Management service delivery model a plus + Environmental, industrial hygiene and safety regulatory knowledge a plus If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
