As a Federal Tax Director, you lead the Federal Tax Advisory team with strategic oversight, technical expertise, and client-centric focus. You are crucial in shaping client engagement, driving business growth, and mentoring future leaders.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance on complex federal tax issues, including compliance, ASC 740 income tax accounting, and federal tax credits. Oversee multiple projects to deliver quality results. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for tax planning and consulting services. Implement innovative solutions to enhance practice efficiency and service delivery. Collaborate with firm leadership to design and execute strategic initiatives that enhance market presence. Mentor and develop future leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Uphold Kroll’s standards of quality, integrity and inclusion
Essential traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, JD, or similar advanced credentials are required. 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance and consulting Strategic thinking with a strong focus on client service and results. Ability to navigate complex tax scenarios with sound judgment and innovative problem-solving. Demonstrated success in fostering client relationships and leading diverse teams. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and accountability.
