Director, Finance

**Position Summary:** The **Director, Finance** is responsible for overseeing the corporate finance functions for the organization including: analysis, planning, strategy, process, innovation, integration, project management, reporting, budgeting and collaboration across the organization on these topics. Develops the finance team as the “financial verification” function for all key financial measurements across the business (both projected and historical).
Provides primary support for the sales organization including the preparation and review of a variety of complex pricing and margin assessment models. Primary support is also provided for corporate locations and projects while collaboration and participation will also take place with other key functions across the organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Create, review and present financial analysis as needed by the company.
+ Develop key metrics, ratios, drivers to key areas of the business.
+ Identify and interpret key issues within the business that are inefficient or slowing/preventing the implementation of the key tactics of the strategy.
+ Act as a thought leader and collaborator to produce workable solutions to key issues identified.
+ Lead discussions around variances to targets/goals and remediation plans.
+ Collaborate with Sales, Accounting and Finance to create and implement strategy and analysis around various key initiatives as well as normal month to month operations.
+ Set individual performance goals, develop and manage a team of Finance professionals.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Finance to support strategic projects, needs of the business.
+ Support project management aspects of key initiatives.
+ Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
+ Prepare accurate, timely and detailed reports on financial performance as required.
+ Develop appropriate forecasting tools and manage regular projections for near and long term
+ Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives.
+ Lead and maintain budgeting and related tools, reports, functions, etc. in accordance with the requirements of company departments.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics: CPA experience preferred.**
+ **8+ years of proven experience in leadership roles in Finance and Accounting.**
+ **Prefer experience in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail environments.**
+ **Demonstrable success in preparing financial analysis, presenting, and significant expertise in analysis of costing, pricing, scenario planning and optimization.**
+ **Proven experience in leading team of finance and/or accounting professionals.**
+ **Meets deadlines, follows through on commitments and delivers on promises.**
+ **Able to apply broad guidelines around business issues and apply to company strategies.**
+ **Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization, and take action when issues arise.**
+ **Strives for continuous growth and improvement.**
+ **Self-starter that is resourceful and can work autonomously.**
