Job DescriptionUniversal Studio Group (USG) is seeking a Director, Finance to join our Studio Finance team. The Director of Finance will play an integral role in leading the studio P&Ls management that are used by our leaders to make strategic decisions. The individual will interact with multiple facets of NBCUniversal including Global TV distribution, TV and Streaming (Peacock, NBC Network, etc), Production, Participations, and Residuals. This role will produce rigorous financial analysis by running complex scenarios and tracking financial performances. Also, this role is well versed in multi-faceted and layered financial modeling and can identify financial risks and opportunities during monthly pacing, annual budget and long-range plan. This role will manage a Sr. Financial Analyst and will report to the VP of Finance
Essential Responsibilities:
Own the Ultimate P&Ls through thorough review of ultimates movements by partnering with internal stakeholders such as Global TV Distribution, Home Entertainment, Production, Participations, and Residuals teams.Lead quarterly Ultimates Review process including coordinating meetings with business owners, reviewing ultimates submissions, understanding variance drivers and market trends. Manage risks and opportunities as well as placeholders on potential new series pick-ups, renewals, and new deal makings in order to deliver transparent updates to FP&A team and USG leadershipPerform ad hoc analysis and scenario planning to help studio leadership drive informed decisionsResponsible for critical close processes for maintaining ultimates updates; work closely with internal stakeholders during month and quarter end close to ensure accurate financialsCoach, develop and train Sr. Financial Analyst and be a meaningful contributor to the USG finance team.QualificationsBasic Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent practical experience8+ years of experience in Finance or FP&A experience preferredDetail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and PC skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projectsExcellent written and oral communication skillsDesired Characteristic:
