Director, Finance Business Partner

Overview:
Mastercard Transaction Services is an organization supporting non-Core, regulated payment activities. A ring-fenced entity, with a distinct organization and separate transaction processing infrastructure from Mastercard International Inc. (MCI), MTS manages the Licenses and associated Legal Entities that support Mastercard’s regulated funds transfer activities. This role is required as soon as possible and will be based in Purchase NY or NYC and report into the VP – Finance Business Partner MTS.

Role:
•\tOversee the development and execution of processes and controls around various regulatory obligations, including
o\tHandling of client funds in the Singapore, EU, US and other jurisdictions.
o\tMaintenance of Capital obligations
o\tFiling of regulatory reports
•\tBe responsible for filing finance regulatory reports
•\tEngage with regulatory examiners as needed
•\tSupport the documentation of ongoing tasks
•\tAssist in analyzing new products for impact to BAU processes and any new requirements that may arise
•\tManage day to day client safeguarding obligations in several jurisdictions.

All About You:
•\tBS or BA in Business Administration/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant designation.
•\tProficiency with accounting and finance systems/software applications e.g. Excel, Hyperion, and Oracle.
•\tExperience with regulatory obligations and dealing with state auditors
•\tStrong knowledge of Internal Control concepts. Experience in Internal audit is a plus.
•\tDriven by a continual process improvement agenda, demonstrated through challenging and improving processes.
•\tDetailed orientated with strong analytical and financial skills supported by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•\tExperience operating in a diverse, multi-functional finance group across time zones is a plus.
•\tMust be able to integrate knowledge across various disciplines and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
•\tIndependent worker and thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues, with the ability to drive others.
•\tA team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. New York City, New York: $154,000 - $238,000 USD

Purchase, New York: $147,000 - $228,000 USD
