Overview of The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our dynamic team based in Montreal. This key leadership role, reporting into the Senior Vice-President of Corporate Accounting, will be responsible for leading the FP&A function.  The role includes overseeing the preparation and presentation of the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) presented in our financial reports which are filed every quarter with the Canadian Securities Authorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial forecasting, analysis, and storytelling, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and leading and building high-performing teams. In addition, as we seek to drive continuous improvement, the ideal candidate will be responsible to enhance over time the FP&A function to enable it to provide strategic financial insights and drive the financial planning process.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

Leverage existing storytelling capabilities to analyze financial results and effectively communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and analysts.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to ensure alignment and support for financial planning initiatives.

Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the FP&A team, promoting professional development and growth.

Establish, implement and enhance a robust financial planning process within the FP&A team.

Establish and implement enhancements relating to the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic goals.

Coach, develop and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; relevant professional designation preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a decentralized global organization, preferably in the food processing industry.

Strong business acumen

Industry experience in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.

Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ability to use MS Office suite software and tools such as Tableau and Power BI to interpret data sets and present insights

Knowledge of SAP, Workiva and financial planning software and tools an asset.

Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Able to work with teams based in various locations

Bilingualism essential (French and English)

As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.

Salary Range:

$120,415 - $158,050

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
