Job Summary:
As Ruggable's Director of FP&A, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and decision-making, with a primary focus on supporting our growth marketing department. You will serve as a key thought partner to cross-functional leaders, providing financial insights that drive growth and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing spend. This highly collaborative role requires a deep understanding of direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce business models, marketing analytics, and performance marketing metrics. You will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling while continuously improving FP&A processes to enhance decision-making. Your expertise will help shape the financial future of Ruggable’s marketing investments.
What You’ll Do:
Work with cross-functional partners to fine-tune forecast inputs and translate their thinking into GAAP financials; own P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow assumptions for assigned business function(s). Partner with the marketing team to analyze and optimize marketing spend across channels, ensuring alignment with business goals. Provide decision support by generating insights from financial, marketing, and operational metrics, delivering recommendations that enhance business performance. Support strategic planning, including the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes, with a focus on marketing investments and ROI. Develop functional expertise and understanding nuances of the business, while establishing the right process and cadence for data handoffs. Enhance Finance’s reporting capabilities, including cost allocation, segmentation, and developing insights through data pipelines in collaboration with cross-functional leaders. Assist with high-visibility internal and external reporting processes, including consolidation of monthly financial results, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and monitoring of marketing-specific operational and financial metrics. Maintain and deeply understand the company's financial model. Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support functional objectives, such as business case development, new product and investment evaluation, efficiency initiatives, identifying topline and margin enhancement opportunities, etc.What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
8-10+ years of FP&A experience, with at least 3 years supporting Marketing teams Background in DTC e-commerce or consumer brands, with expertise in analyzing revenue funnels and marketing effectiveness. Deep knowledge of marketing analytics and performance marketing metrics (CPA, CPC, conversion, AOV, CAC, ROAS, LTV to CAC, etc.). Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial modeling Ability to take on increasing responsibility rapidly while managing multiple projects with high-quality output. Experience with revenue forecasting and full P&L management. Ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business decisions. Experience in a high-growth e-commerce or CPG company. Background in FP&A support of a growth marketing organization or marketing analytics. Familiarity with NetSuite and Google Suite. $165,000- $185,000 per year base salary An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
