**Description**
This role will drive North America Regional FP&A activities, supporting regional leadership to perform holistic analytics, identifying risks and opportunities. Supporting ED in leading discussions with leadership by working with regional centers of excellence, affiliates, brands, channels, and functional area partners in developing financially sound and strategically aligned plans. Develop, transform and publish regional analytics and respond to corporate reporting requirements to become more efficient and agile to drive profitable growth for the region.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis
• Support and drive ad-hoc strategic projects, including developing scenario planning, building business cases and ROI analyses, measuring post-mortem impact of projects and initiatives, etc.
• Anticipate needs based on analysis of current business trends, be proactive in monitoring strategic goals of the region, and develop alternatives in the face of challenging results. Provide timely responses to the frequent ad-hoc analyses needed by the regional leadership team and corporate finance teams.
Collaboration
• Support ED in operating as a Center of Excellence (COE) Ambassador for the NA Region to oversee all regional leads in the COE roll-out. Provide region level analysis and support global objectives as applicable to the region. Continuously engage with regional COEs to ensure alignment with regional analytics (i.e., Selling, DTC, Commercialization)
• Assist in developing commentary and presentations to tell the “story” behind the financials to be presented to Region leadership teams.
• Develop and mentor a current team of one full-time employee. Effectively delegate tasks to build bench strength and drive career development as strategic finance thinkers and leaders. Ensure team holds high standards on accuracy and timeliness at all times
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Create reporting and presentations to support senior leadership meetings, Investor Relations, etc. Directly engage brand finance teams and support regional analytics.
• Publish reporting and analytics to support regional operating meetings. Produce “standard” monthly reporting packages, including brand business review meetings, estimate scorecards, close analytics
• Continuously monitor and evolve all regional reporting, and produce analyses, dashboards & other reports to ensure effectiveness of “standard” analyses and adapt when business conditions change. Create the overall region action register and assist brands / channels in execution, where needed.
• Challenge the status quo and seek continuous incremental improvements on existing processes to help drive more efficient and accurate financial reporting and analysis
Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Assist in driving the financial process for Long Range Planning, fiscal plan and monthly estimates across the region. Oversee consolidation and integrity of regional reporting and financial data.
• Prepare annual budget presentation package and supporting deck/analyses.
• Prepare financial information necessary for strategy presentation, including target setting process.
• Lead management of all non-brand cost centers. Partner with cost center functional owners to i) prepare budgets, ii) review actual monthly results, and iii) update estimates for year-to-go each monthly cycle (and/or as needed).
**Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate degree in finance (or equivalent)
+ 8+ years of experience in finance, business analytics
+ Excellent analytical skills required and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary.
+ Must hold high standards on accuracy and timeliness
+ Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to research, identify and resolve
+ Must be detail oriented as well as a broad strategic thinker
+ A mature self-starter who can take charge of a project and follow through to completion
+ Strong ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
+ Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and work well on cross-functional teams
+ Ability to collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus and strong communication and presentation skills necessary.
+ MBA preferred
+ Experience in a fast-moving consumer products industry
+ Working knowledge of SAP, OneStream, BEX, a plus
