As a key member of the Global Brand Strategy (GBS) team , the Director, Global Commercial Lead- Gene Therapy, is responsible for leading cross portfolio commercial led initiatives in support of planning for the successful commercialization of our gene therapy pipeline and as needed other pipeline programs. The individual will closely collaborate with Global Regional stakeholders to identify important market trends, implement global commercialization launch strategies, and communicate with senior leaders all within a fast moving, challenging and dynamic commercial environment.  This role will also be responsible for leading the implementation of a consistent brand and tactical planning process across the GBS group for specific products. 

Work Model: 

Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

 

Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with Global and Region stakeholders on commercialization launch preparations for gene therapy programs. Identify and execute on insights/market research needs to inform effective decisions Proactively monitor the competitive market landscape Deliver impactful brand and/or market development strategies that are well articulated, communicated, and agreed to by the relevant parties Help drive commercial leadership on cross-functional, and cross-geography launch teams to ensure effective allocation of effort and resources Ensure Commercial considerations are included in cross-functional core team decisions related to data generation, trial strategy, clinical study site selection, medical strategy development, lifecycle management and manufacturing Oversee all aspects of global brand development for gene therapy assets, and ongoing management of global brand identity for commercialized assets Help lead a consistent brand and tactical planning process across the gene therapy pipeline. Lead projects on specific programs as appropriate/required by the group, i.e. discrete market research explorations, Partnership with internal teams (i.e. B.D, Corp Comms) on projects requiring GBS input Requirements: 10+ years of bio/pharmaceutical commercial experience Bachelor’s degree in business and/or science; advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MS, Ph.D.) Diverse commercial experience including previous Global and Region roles Proven experience identifying and setting the strategic direction Ability to lead matrix teams and align the organization behind clear strategic direction Previous gene therapy experience is preferred Sound strategic thinking and thoughtful approach to problem solving Excellent analytical skills related to market analysis Excellent written and verbal/presentation communication skills and Proficient level in PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint Comfort with change and ambiguity and can operate at strategic levels as well as tactical levels Rare disease commercial experience preferred Up to 20% travel (international and domestic) #LI-CS1 #LI-Hybrid

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
