Director, Global Digital Marketing Operations

The Director, Global Digital Marketing Operations will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless execution of digital marketing initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Digital Marketing, this role will manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, oversee budgeting processes, project plans/timelines, project risk and mitigation strategies, and lead special projects that span five core disciplines: Digital Experience, Website Analytics, Social Media, Paid Media, and Marketing Technology. 

At the same time, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving our global climate communications and marketing efforts. The Director will be responsible for providing critical operational support to ensure that our climate-related initiatives are effectively planned, aligned, and executed across all global regions. This includes coordinating with regional marketing teams, Chubb climate executives inside and outside of Marketing & Communications, and external partners to create and deliver cohesive messaging and plans that resonate on a global scale while respecting local nuances.

In addition to strong operational and project management skills, the ideal candidate will possess a solid technical acumen, having worked closely with engineering teams within an agile framework. Agency management experience is a plus, as this role will also involve collaborating with external partners to ensure quality and consistency across our global digital marketing efforts. 

This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in our New York, NY, Whitehouse Station, NJ or Jersey City, NJ locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Digital Marketing Operations:

Oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the Global Digital Marketing team, ensuring that all processes, tools, and systems are efficient and effective. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of digital marketing tools and technologies, working within an agile framework to deliver continuous improvements. Lead the operational planning and execution of digital marketing initiatives across the five core disciplines, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide operational support for global climate communications and marketing, ensuring the seamless execution of climate-related campaigns and initiatives. Serve as an operational liaison between the Global Digital Marketing team and other internal business stakeholders and Global Marketing & Communications COE partners including Media Relations, Internal Communications, Social Media, Strategic Content, Global Brand, and Investor Relations. Lead and manage key projects across the Global Digital Marketing organization, ensuring timely delivery, quality output, and alignment with strategic goals.

Project Management:

Develop and maintain project plans, set timelines, and coordinate resources to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope. Act as the central point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and status reports.

Budget Management:

Oversee the budget planning, tracking, and reporting process for the Global Digital Marketing team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across all five disciplines. Work closely with finance and department leads to forecast and manage budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization of resources. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure that project costs align with budgetary expectations.

Special Projects:

Lead and execute special projects as assigned by the Head of Global Digital Marketing, ranging from process improvements to new initiatives that drive business impact. Analyze complex business challenges, identify opportunities for operational efficiency, and implement solutions that align with business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regional marketing teams, IT, and external agencies, to ensure the smooth execution of special projects. 7+ years of experience in operations, project management, or a similar role, preferably within a global marketing or digital organization.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, digestible way. Ability to devise options and gain consensus through email, MS Office documents, and verbally.Familiarity with digital marketing and related technologies.Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost management.Proven experience working with engineering teams in an agile framework, with a strong understanding of digital marketing tools and technologies.Experience in managing relationships with external agencies and vendors, with the ability to drive performance and value from partners.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA or equivalent a plus.Excellent organizational, process, and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.

The pay range for the role is $92,000-$156,400. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
