Your New Role:
This Director, Global Long Form Planning role will partner with Streaming & Network programming and scheduling teams, including regional Content Management teams to create, maintain and optimize an updated prioritized Global Content pipeline plan for long form content that generates operational and distribution availability demand signals.
In partnership with the regional Content Management teams, align on the strategic approach to content identified for global D&D, raise associated content requirement demand signals with the respective Global Content Operations (GCO) CoE’s, and co-ordinate all key touchpoints to ensure on time & successful global day and date deliveries.
Work closely with teams to define and adhere to SLAs, maximize workflow efficiencies, and supervise the successful delivery of Platinum title Long Form content for our major markets; US, Canada, LATAM, EMEA and APAC.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Global Long Form Content Pipeline FrameworkIn collaboration with various cross-functional teams (P&S, GCO & MSC), create, implement and maintain a tactical global content pipeline framework for Long Form content that will meet the strategic needs of this function in the short term.Partner with GCO & MSC to create, implement and maintain an effective and efficient global Long Form content pipeline framework, workflows and processes that will support sustainable, functional and scalable Long Form content pipeline activities, such as content prioritization, regional requirements, technical specifications, priority, and associated content customization budget management (planning, forecast and actual).Proactive Long Form Content Pipeline PlanningPartner with Global and Regional Streaming and Network programming & scheduling teams, including regional Content Management teams to maintain an up-to-date prioritized Global Content Pipeline plan for Long Form content that generates operational localization and distribution availability demand signals for GCO CoE and GCM teams as far in advance as possible (from production greenlight). In partnership with the regional Content Management teams, obtain global view of regional Streaming and Network Long Form content plans, priorities and requirementsGCO Center of Excellence (CoE) PartnershipsBased on Streaming and Network programming priorities, partner with the relevant GCO Center of Excellence (CoE’s) functionsDefine and document SLAs for end-to-end workflows to be able to measure success.Content Strategy & Business Requirement Alignment Engaging with Content Strategy, Planning and Scheduling to align on and plan for platform schedule dates and agreed publication strategy and business requirements based on production and readiness dates and agreed/contracted deliverables.Global Master & Tech Spec RequirementsIn collaboration with global Streaming & Network partners and respective CoE’s, provide guidance to the business as it relates to global masters and required technical quality (4k/UHD etc.) for pipeline content.Align per brand and respective CoE’s and production partners to confirm content delivery plans, readiness dates and focus on high priority titles.Long Form Content Customization Budget Management Based on the Global and Regional Long Form Content Pipeline plans and associated content requirements (volume, customization requirements and associated costs), partner with Production Forecast & Analysis, regional Content Management, Finance and GCO CoE’s to ensure accurate Long Form Customization budget planning.Qualifications & Requirements
BS degree or equivalent relevant work experience10 years of professional media industry experienceExperience within content planning, post-production, production finance and/or project management disciplinesStrong cross-functional, organizational and project management skillsProficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, TeamsThe Nice to Haves

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,350.00 - $234,650.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
