Director, Global Payroll

Overview

The Director of Global Payroll will oversee the development and management of a centralized payroll shared services model. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, efficient service delivery to employees and for implementing standardized payroll processes and policies across the organization. The Director of Global Payroll will play a critical role in enhancing employee experience and operational efficiency for optimal payroll accuracy. 

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Shared Services Management: Develop and manage a centralized payroll shared services model that delivers high-quality, efficient services to employees. Oversee daily operations of the payroll shared services team to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate service delivery. Implement and maintain standardized payroll processes and policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization. Define strategy for payroll audit and controls and direct team to implement those strategies to ensure compliance with SOX controls and enhanced payrolls controls.  Service Delivery and Employee Experience: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and employee satisfaction. Implement technologies and process improvements that streamline payroll operations and improve the overall employee experience. Monitor and evaluate service delivery metrics to ensure high standards are maintained. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate with HR leaders, HR Operations, Accounting, Finance, Audit and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of payroll shared services with broader organizational goals. Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support the payroll shared services function. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop the payroll shared services team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, accounting or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll operations, shared services, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in developing and managing payroll shared services in a large, complex organization. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Experience with HR technologies and process improvements.
