**Essential Home**
Essential Home is a division of Reckitt with trusted, market-leading brands such as Air Wick, Cillit Bang, Woolite, Calgon and Lovela, and is on an exciting path to become a standalone company under Private Equity ownership. As part of the carve-out we are building a new technology landscape from the ground up, with a Greenfield approach, in order to support the new company’s significant growth outlook. This is a unique opportunity to define the future of technology at this company, and to build a great legacy for future generations.
**About the role**
A unique opportunity for a motivated self-starter to lead and shape the Essential Home IT & Digital function on a global scale. As the Global Director of Technology, you will have the chance to radically simplify the technology landscape by designing and building a greenfield technology stack from the ground up, creating the foundations for the future of this business.
You will build a lean, senior, and highly capable team, while fostering strong, long-term partnerships with leading technology vendors to ensure sustained success. This role is part of an exceptionally strong and dynamic leadership team and offers tremendous personal and professional growth.
**Your responsibilities**
+ **Strategy and Execution** : Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports Essential Home’s business goals and drives digital transformation across all functions.
+ **Global IT operations management** : Oversee the management of global IT operations ensuring reliability, efficiency and resilience of all technology platforms and infrastructure.
+ **Technical oversight** : Oversee the design and implementation of the technical architecture and infrastructure to ensure scalability, efficiency and resilience of Essential Home applications and systems. Essential Home technology is Microsoft/Azure heavy.
+ **Team Leadership** : Lead and mentor a diverse team of IT & Digital professionals, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
+ **Building strong partnerships** : Internally working closely with other senior executives to integrate technology initiatives with business strategies, ensuring seamless operational execution. Externally establishing and maintaining strong relationships with technology vendors; stay up-to-date with latest technologies and innovations that could benefit the company.
+ **Continuity management** : Prepares the organization to withstand and recover from outages, minimizing downtime and safeguarding operational continuity.
+ **Budget Management** : Ensuring cost-effective investments and tracking of spend. Continuously look for opportunities to save and reinvest in new technology.
**The experience we're looking for**
+ Proven ability to design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure IT infrastructure and enterprise systems, with a focus on simplicity and future scalability.
+ A track record of driving digital transformation through innovative technology solutions, preferably in a greenfield or high-growth environment.
+ Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the Microsoft ecosystem: M365, Flow, Intune, Power Platform, etc.
+ Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, security, and optimizing cloud-based solutions. Experience with MuleSoft and ServiceNow would help.
+ Experience in developing and managing strong, strategic partnerships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing value from external providers.
+ Demonstrated success in integrating diverse systems and applications into a cohesive and functional technology ecosystem, with a focus on interoperability and efficiency.
+ Awareness and understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, and automation, with the ability to evaluate and implement these in partnership with the rest of the IT&D LT.
