Director, Global Training Lead - Solid Tumor
General Description: The Global Training Lead will develop and execute the Medical Affairs training strategy for the solid tumor franchise and function as the subject matter expert for the solid tumor therapeutic area. The candidate will co-develop, implement, and execute the annual training plan, whilst supporting the enhancement of the overall global Medical Affairs training program. This global role is critical in supporting the ongoing therapeutic preparedness and excellence for the global Field Medical Teams. Essential Functions: + Develop and execute the Medical Affairs training strategy for the solid tumor franchise. + Act as the subject matter expert for solid tumor training involving presenting, developing or facilitating solid tumor training initiatives. + In collaboration with the GMA Training Head, identify, recommend, develop, and lead projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall global training program, to support excellence in scientific exchange for field medical roles. + Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, to deliver impactful training programs in support of Medical Affairs needs. + Lead ongoing updates and improvements to the onboarding and ongoing training curriculum for GMA associates. + Lead onboarding therapeutic certification process including organizational aspects such as scheduling, certification assessments, DocuSign, uploading to eLMS. + Collaborate on launch training plans and certifications across global ex-China regions + Assist in the planning and review of Global field medical resources and tools, primarily clinical presentation slide decks, educational materials, and reactive field materials. + Effectively manage multiple stakeholders and projects to within budget Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience: + Advanced/terminal clinical/science degree required + 6-8 years pharmaceutical or agency medical affairs experience required Other Qualifications: + Advanced / terminal clinical/science degree required + Solid Tumor Medical Affairs or field medical experience, preferred + Experience coordinating with field-based teams required + Medical Affairs training experience, preferred, including knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and measurement of training effectiveness + Experience working globally, cross-culturally, and cross-functionally in a matrixed environment. Global payer environment knowledge preferred. + Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, facilitation, and project management skills required + Superior written and verbal communication skills, required + Executive presence with excellent leadership and project management skills to deliver in a complex multidisciplinary organization. + Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research practices preferred. Working knowledge in multiple disease areas preferred + Effectively coach, mentor, and communicate with scientific/clinical persons at all skill and knowledge levels + Knowledge of applicable international compliance guidelines and regulations for scientific communications applicable to pharmaceutical companies + Experience in vendor management + Confident, positive attitude, enthusiastic and charismatic.
