Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Director, Government Compliance to join our growing team.
This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State. Remote work may be considered.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee the company’s compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and required Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) business systems. The position reports directly to the CFO and will work collaboratively across all functions of the business as we progress towards government certification of our business systems and CAS compliance. This role will manage a small team initially with additional direct reports added as the company grows.
An ideal candidate will have a background in government compliance consulting and/or DCAA and DCMA audits, though we will consider a highly talented, ambitious, and versatile team player willing to learn with us.
This position will ideally be onsite in Sedro-Woolley, WA, though we will consider some amount of remote time.
The following essential job functions may be performed as the Director, Government Compliance:
Take ownership of the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s DFARS business systems requirements such as Accounting, Estimating, Purchasing, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Coordinate with external consultants on EVMS program implementation, then manage resources required for on-going program maintenance and reporting Work closely with FP&A on annual Labor Rate Models and Incurred Cost Submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance Provide education and guidance to non-finance areas of the business, and to the management team, on government requirements Drives process improvement in support of programs such as EVMS and other business systems Collaborates across functions, project teams, and external consultants to deliver solutions to compliance challenges Under general supervision, analyzes and responds to regulatory questions from internal and external sources by interpreting Company policy, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) guidance, and applicable governmental regulations Acts as key business partner and main point of contact for all DCMA/DCAA/Customer audits Must have ability and willingness to research regulatory compliance matters, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR and DFARS) Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal clients and external customers to insure all their business requirements are met or exceeded Participate and lead projects to improve and train key stakeholders within the business for Government requirements Maintains established policies, procedures, and standard practices as required for compliance Assesses potential project issues and assists in developing solutions to meet schedule and quality goals and objectives Consistently deliver high quality work, anticipate program needs, and independently drive projects to completion Onsite as needed to meet and understand the company and teams Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

BA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other technical field required. Masters degree preferred. Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) required 6+ years in a manufacturing business, preferably in aerospace required Experience with DCAA/DCMA or with a government prime- or sub-contractor preferred Previous experience with SAP preferredADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Salary range for this role is between $175,000 - $225,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
