Director, GTS Project Management Office (PMO)
**General Description:** The Director of the GTS Project Management Office (PMO) serves as a strategic leader and change agent within BeiGene’s Global Technology organization. This role is responsible for the governance, leadership, and execution oversight of the global technology project portfolio—ensuring all initiatives are aligned with enterprise goals, delivered on time, within scope and budget, and adopted successfully across the organization. This leader will drive the evolution of the PMO function, define and implement governance models, and partner closely within GTS and with business executives to ensure strategic initiatives deliver tangible value. The Director will also directly lead high-impact, enterprise-level programs and manage a team of program, portfolio and project management professionals (employees and contractors). **Essential Functions of the Job:** + **Strategic PMO Leadership:** Establish, evolve, and scale the global PMO function, including portfolio governance, program oversight, and project delivery excellence. + **S** **takeholder Management:** Manage key relationships with GTS Business Partners, project and program business stakeholders and team members to ensure successful delivery of programs and projects + **Portfolio Governance:** Drive alignment between GTS programs and BeiGene’s enterprise priorities through a rigorous intake, prioritization, and resource allocation process. + **Executive Stakeholder Engagement:** Build strategic relationships with senior leaders across functions to ensure alignment, transparency, and collaboration on technology initiatives. + **Methodology and Standards:** Own, define, and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, frameworks, and KPIs to ensure consistency and quality in delivery. + **Metrics and Reporting:** Develop and manage PMO dashboards and reporting capabilities to enable real-time visibility into portfolio health, risks, and outcomes. + **Program and Project Execution:** Lead delivery of the most critical, complex, or cross-functional programs or projects within the GTS portfolio, ensuring measurable business outcomes. + **B** **udget Management:** Work with stakeholders to plan the annual PMO budget and directly manage the budget to ensure delivery success + **V** **endor Management:** Lead delivery of the most critical, complex, or cross-functional programs within the GTS portfolio, ensuring measurable business outcomes **Supervisory Responsibilities:** + Manage and retain a global team of project, portfolio and program manager, both full time and contingent. Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and professional development. **Computer Skills:** + Microsoft 365, Smartsheets, MS Teams, LLM applications (e.g., Copilot, chatgpt,) **Experience:** + 10+ years of progressive experience in project and program management, with at least 3+years in a leadership capacity. + Proven experience in leading enterprise PMOs, portfolio governance processes, and strategic project execution in the context of biopharma functional and technology teams. Domain knowledge in functional areas, e.g., R&D, G&A, Commercial, would be ideal. + Demonstrated success in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries strongly preferred. + Experience in SaaS and cloud application delivery environments. + Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, including GxP-compliant environments and system validation. **Skills & Competencies:** + Executive presence with strong business acumen and ability to influence at all levels. + Expertise in resource and capacity planning, budgeting, and cross-functional team management. + Strategic thinking with analytical problem-solving and critical decision-making capabilities. + Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including conflict resolution and change management. + Mastery of project portfolio tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet), process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook). + Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. + Able to adapt to changes in the work environment.
