Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director, People Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Global People for People team (HR4HR) and support the Visa People Team through our exciting transformation journey. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment, and is skilled at both strategy setting and strong execution to achieve business and functional results. They are comfortable navigating and addressing people-related challenges in the dynamic payments space. They will empower the HR team to drive transformational initiatives that enable the organization to innovate and grow. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with their assigned leaders to drive the talent agenda for the People Team. They will bring functional expertise, a commercially focused and transformational mindset, and serve as the expert on people and organizational matters. As a member of the P4P team, the PBP (HRBP) will partner closely with internal counterparts and Centers of Excellence to plan and deliver (HR) programs and services to our function.

This includes implementing annual people programs such as performance reviews, promotions, succession planning, and action plans resulting from employee surveys. You will work to enhance organizational design and structure, provide change leadership, and management coaching. Leading and participating in cross-group and company-wide projects, you will develop internal processes, policies, and recognition and retention programs. Throughout the planning and execution phases, you will partner with your clients to ensure alignment with our People Team and company strategy.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Global People Business Partner, People for People (P4P) and is a key member of the P4P Team. 

Essential Functions

Serve as a strategic People Business Partner to leadership focused on a broad-based and transformational talent agenda designed to recruit, develop, and retain the very best diverse and innovative talent in the business for global and regional teams.Establish strong relationships with leaders and act as a catalyst in delivering People solutions that support the specific needs of each area/department as well as overall business/functional objectives.Provide People Team expertise to client groups in all aspects, including but not limited to performance management and team effectiveness, talent management/organizational development, rewards and recognition, growth and development and workforce planning with the support of the Centers of Excellence.Offer proactive guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives, aligning the People agenda with key business strategies with a focus on change managementPartner with Clients to build high performing teams, support leaders with coaching on employee matters, organizational design, people related strategy and execution.Help drive a best-in-class Talent agenda, including D&I, to promote employee engagement and enable a high-performing workforce that advances the company’s strategic growth.Apply a data driven approach to assess organizational metrics and deliver actionable insights to leadersPromote a culture of innovation, in an environment that demands high levels of scalability, security and uncompromising reliabilityClosely partner with COEs and other PBPs to deliver superior results to the functionPossess executive presence and strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively partner with all levels of leadershipLead design and project manage key People Team initiatives that support the grow of our function (Talent, I&D, Engagement)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD7-10 years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources leadership. Proven experience of having operated as a seasoned HRBP with exposure to an innovative business, one that continues to reinvent their business proposition.Experience with working with global teams in a matrixed HR support environment and the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships and the ability to influence across levels within the organization.Agile thinker with the ability to be highly creative, innovative and future oriented as it relates to HR solutions.Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and complexity with a growth and transformational mindset.Analytical rigor and facility with HR reporting tools (Workday, Excel, PowerPoint and Word), including the ability to interpret and tell a story with data.Ability to market, package and design programs a key plus.Hold high standards of client service and works closely to establish credibility with clients.Strong coaching ability.Collaborative and strong partnering orientation and focus on problem solving to achieve win-win outcomes.Ability to balance employer and employee advocacy.Manages work with a project and consulting mindsetOutstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.Demonstrate advance planning as well as excellent execution and problem-solving skills.Experience with high levels of accountability, and demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.Excellent abilities in Excel, PowerPoint and Workday.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161500.00 to 234,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
