**Stanford University Human Resources (UHR) is seeking a Director, HR Product & Data Management who will collaborate across University HR and IT to drive continual improvement to HR service delivery across processes, technology, content/knowledge management, and transaction resolution. The Director, HR Product & Data Management leads the team responsible for service delivery improvements and digital enablement of HR, including identification of Oracle HCM and ServiceNow enhancements to improve business operations and employee experience. They will collaborate regularly with University IT ServiceNow teams on enhancements that support HRSC operations as well as requirements for content and knowledge delivery. Additionally, this role drives the content management strategy across all aspects of HR service delivery, with a focus on the employee experience, leading the team responsible for updating and maintaining knowledge and content materials related to University Human Resources Service Center. The Director, HR Product & Data Management is also responsible for the team that oversees the initiation and resolution of complex Oracle HCM data transactions, auditing workflows, and performing mass data changes to ensure workflows are operating efficiently and approvals are moving seamlessly toward transaction completion.**
**Desired expertise in this position includes experience in Human Resources and Higher Education, as well as expertise in customer service, HR service center operational environments, managing a team in a complex organization, designing ways of working in HR cloud technology, and subject matter expertise in complex inquiries, resolution and processing support and audit of HR services and transactions in Oracle HCM.**
**A highly qualified candidate for this role will have demonstrated knowledge of best practices and advancing technology capabilities in HR customer service delivery, HR Information Systems (HRIS), HR cloud technology, HR content management, and related HR functions; proficiency with Google Workplace applications (Google Docs, Google Slides, etc.) or MS Office Suite; experience working with PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM Cloud, or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for HR and Oracle HR Help Desk, ServiceNow or other case management system for inquiry and transaction resolution; and prior experience in developing methods to update and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes through technology and tools, and managing a large, complex knowledge and content database and developing processes and procedures for updating and maintaining documentation.**
**This is a hybrid work arrangement (a combination of onsite and work from home). The number of days may occasionally fluctuate subject to business needs, but the expectation is that this position will be onsite a minimum of 2 days/week. The onsite work location is Stanford Redwood City Campus, 505 Broadway, Redwood City, California.**
**JOB PURPOSE** **:**
**Conduct day-to-day management of a technical function in a research or services organization. Provide technical and managerial guidance to subordinates and bring highly specialized knowledge and expertise to high level administrative managers.**
**CORE DUTIES*** **:**
+ **Lead and manage all business, technical, and educational activities (e.g. application development, system and process enhancement and technology, customer content).**
+ **Exercise full management responsibility for a technical group, including recruiting, hiring, training, developing, evaluating, and setting priorities. May manage managerial staff. Emphasize service excellence in team case management duties and measurements.**
+ **Ensure work completion within schedule, budgetary, and design constraints; make decisions about analysis, design, and testing; solve complex technical problems; provide alternative methods for achieving goals when necessary.**
+ **Provide strategic planning for own work group; may assist higher level management in broader scope strategic planning for a large, complex, university-wide function or major initiative.**
+ **Create procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with university policy and federal and state regulations.**
+ **Develop and manage budgets for projects or work groups.**
+ **May oversee or assist in preparation and submission of documentation, such as proposals, progress reports, customer content and knowledge vehicles or other contractual requirements.**
+ **Monitor technology trends and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and implementation. Continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.**
+ **Work collaboratively with colleagues to leverage the university/school’s investments in information technology. Optimize technology and metrics in the HRSC function to continually improve HR service delivery, HRSC process, procedures, and technology capabilities.**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** **:**
**Education & Experience:**
**Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.**
**Preferred Education and Experience:**
**Preferred Master’s degree and 7-9 years of relevant experience, and 3 – 5 years of management experience**
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** **:**
+ **Detailed understanding of relevant technical knowledge and problem resolution.**
+ **Strong customer relationship skills, consensus building skills, and ability to establish effective working relationships in a diverse environment. Knowledge of the unique issues and needs applicable to both faculty, academic, non-academic, and represented staff populations.**
+ **Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.**
**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ **Proficient knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that influence HR programs, policy, and technology.**
+ **Proven analytical skills set, planning and organizational skills, effective time management abilities and an innovative, creative and growth mindset.**

**_The expected pay range for this position is $168,628 - $197,777 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs._**
