Position Scope:
Our client is seeking a strategic and visionary Director of HR Business Partnering to lead their HR Business Partner (HRBP) team and HR Generalists across the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of People & Culture, the Director will be responsible for overseeing a team of 5+ HRBPs and HR Generalists who support various divisions including National Office, Clinic Operations, Medical Assessments, and Seniors Wellness.
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive HR initiatives, build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. With a current workforce of 5,000+ employees, as well as independent contractors, the organization is primed for growth, evolution and innovation. The Director will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the organization and enhancing engagement, retention, and performance across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the HRBP team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Oversee the delivery of HR services and support to all divisions, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and organizational development. Partner with senior leaders to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support a positive employee experience and foster a culture of inclusion and diversity. Collaborate with the HR leadership team to digest HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Mentor and develop HRBP team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance their skills and capabilities. Manage HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful implementation in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Participate in M&A related work; the organization is an acquisitive company and the role will be responsible for integrating new clinics into the network, ensuring a seamless integration process as the organization seeks to scale in a thoughtful manner.
Required Attributes and Knowledge:
An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives in a fast-paced setting. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results. Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders. Experience working in a healthcare or related industry is an asset. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and change management. Passionate about fostering a positive culture and enhancing employee engagement. Energized by opportunities for transformation and innovation. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic plans. Demonstrated ability to lead change in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing HRBP teams. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and regulatory requirements in Canada. Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
