It is the philosophy of BID-Plymouth to follow the LEAN methodology in order to provide the full continuum of health care services and the best quality patient centered care. **Position Summary:** Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the continuum of Imaging and Cardiovascular Services; including imaging, non-invasive cardiology, cardiac catherization, angiography, breast center and interventional radiology to accomplish sustained profitable growth in all areas of responsibility. **Duties/Responsibilities:** + Ensures the departments meet the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. + Collaborates with BIDMC and other BIKH clinical partners on joint initiatives in respective departments. + Develops and implements initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness of the Services including targeted performance improvement initiatives for all areas. + Promotes the development and implementation of best practices and the cultivation of a highly efficient patient flow process. + Collaborates with the nursing and medical staff leadership structure on issues related to service delivery, technology and equipment, capital planning, revenue generation and enhancement and all other related administrative matters. + Coordinates resources to meet patient care demands. Ensures programs and services are in compliance with hospital and corporate policies as well as federal, state and local agency regulations including Joint Commission, ACR, DPH, OSHA and FDA. + Evaluates the orientation and performance of new employees at scheduled evaluation meetings and provides timely feedback to employees. + Ensures educational/professional staff development and improved knowledge of staff, and its application at BID Hospital – Plymouth. + Supports instructors from schools of education to provide for student learning opportunities. + Ensures timely data collection, analysis of information and operational response to such information – including but not limited to: payroll, FTE budget, operational budgets, patient/family satisfaction and evidence based clinically effective quality outcome measures. Demonstrates high acumen in business decisions. + Responsible for annual and long-term planning relative to service line and integration with organization's strategic plan. + Recognizes market and environmental issues, as well as industry trends, and plans accordingly. + Knowledgeable about day-to-day operations; appropriately delegates and prioritizes in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Serves on/chairs hospital-wide committees, fostering collaboration and role modeling for effective and accountable leadership. _It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required._ **Education/Experience Required:** + Master’s degree (Masters in Business Administration or equivalent) + Nursing degree or radiological degree preferred + Several years progressively responsible managerial, administrative and leadership experience. + Proven leadership experience, demonstrated problem solver. + Recent experience/knowledge of the latest treatment protocols, equipment and technologies. + Working knowledge of financial reports including operational/capital budgets with proven ability to create and manage annual budgets. + Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication (oral and written) abilities + Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations in an effective, prompt, precise and professional manner. **Physical/Environmental Requirements** This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use.
