The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. **Salary Range** $117,200.00 - $193,400.00 **Target Openings** 1 **What Is the Opportunity?** The award-winning creative team at Travelers is redefining what it means to be part of in-house creative operation. As a Copywriter Director within our Enterprise Integrated Marketing department, you will develop insight-driven ideas and campaigns, writing copy that informs, motivates and excites across a variety of media, including video, digital and B2B sales materials (brochures, presentations, event collateral). This role requires a seasoned and versatile writer capable of using the Travelers’ brand voice to inform customers and clients about insurance product and services to a variety of business lines—construction, healthcare, auto, and retail, to name just a few. A strong understanding of strategy and how it influences creative work is a must. This role may include leadership responsibilities. A portfolio of work that shows versatility and experience with complex industries, such as insurance, finance or pharmaceutical is a must. **What Will You Do?** + Develop insight-driven and action-inducing copy + Work with designers and art directors to create ideas and effective campaigns + Partner with other team members (e.g., planners, strategists, business partners) to create strategically sound solutions. + Prepare and present copy, articulating messaging, approaches, and priorities. + Experiment with internal AI tools for copy development, as well as to increase speed-to-market. + Keeps up to date with insurance industry trends as well as trends impacting client industries. + Ensure final output (copy, art, design and/or video) is aligned with Travelers brand guidelines and follows internal approval processes. **What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?** + Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + 5 or more years of related experience in either in-house creative department or ad agency, specifically in a copywriter function. + 3 or more years of people leadership experience. + An exceptional on-line portfolio that showcases an advanced understanding of copywriting. + Demonstrated excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities, with the ability to independently meet deadlines, including internal check-ins. + Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely; disseminate information about decisions, plans and activities. + Demonstrate excellent time-management and multitasking abilities, efficiently meeting deadlines, including internal check-ins. + Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills. **What is a Must Have?** + 5 years of experience as a copywriter. **What Is in It for You?** + **Health Insurance** : Employees and their eligible family members – including spouses, domestic partners, and children – are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment. + **Retirement:** Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
