Your impact
The Director, Inclusion, Diversity, & Respect will support Newmont internally and represent Newmont externally in the design, installation and amplification of the ID&E and Respect vision, strategy and associated goals. A core focus of the work of this role will be to inspire and support the shaping of the desired culture of the organization such that:
All employees are treated respectfully…Such that they feel included and belong…Such that they interpret their unique contributions (diversity) as valuable/valued… Such that individual performance is liberated (unlocked), as is the performance of the organization.As part of our team you will Lead the support, design and installation of IDE/R@W related culture strategy to site/BU/Enterprise, coordinate alignment with site/functional talent strategies and societal/cultural norms and measure evidence of respectful and inclusive culture progress.Direct and advise on Business Resource Group (BRG) leading practices, amplify BRG initiatives/efforts, coordinate inclusion and utilization of BRGs into site/BU culture strategies. Develop and govern global BRG community of practice.Design and develop IDE learning programs/capability building and coordinate infusion into global programs (L&D, induction, onboarding, etc.) as needed. Serve as trusted IDE/R@W advisor and capability builder for key operational/functional leadership roles (BU/Site)Support/lead redesign of interconnected systems, practices and policies across the site/BU/enterprise, advise on infusion of IDE into relevant segments.Support development and implementation of feedback and monitoring mechanisms and leading/lagging metrics to measure effectiveness and workforce perceptions, utilize to advise leadership on improvements Design, governance and implementation of ID&E/R@W standards, learning libraries, policies, and guidelines; optimize through localization to maximize impactSupport optimal health and vision of discipline; drive improvements based on standardized global frameworks and gap assessmentsIdentify, monitor and direct governance of IDE/R@W compliance/risks and implement effective controls to mitigate; support incident analysis and people centric response protocol developmentKey organizational representative to champion IDE/R@W, elevating external brandCreate BU centric - site marketing plan related to IDE/R@W, govern communications to develop and direct ongoing and inspiring mythologies about IDE/R@W program, progress and engagementKey liaison with Enterprise/BU/Site functional (TA/TM/HSS, etc.) and operational teams, ensuring sustained coordination to embed IDE in pertinent areasPrerequisites for success in this role Deep Expertise and experience (formal or practical) in the practice of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, Respect at Work, Organizational Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Human Resources/Talent Development, Sociology/Anthropology/Cultural Studies, Law/Compliance or related fields.Experience in partnering cross functionally, and with senior leaders to design and implement cultural change programs that are sustainable. Understanding of operational risks and challenges when engaging with a diverse frontline/non-wired workforce. A proficient understanding of business and business performance and drivers. A natural orientation to collaboration, decision - making, and entrepreneurship. The ability to garner trust and influence action from leaders at various levels. Experience coaching and supporting leaders to build a team culture that is psychologically safe.

Expertise in establishing and executing against shared, global IDE vision, strategy, and goals. The salary range offered for this role is USD $146,250 to 204,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
