Director, Infusion Services

Summary

The Director of Home Infusion Services will lead and manage the home infusion program within Omnicell’s Specialty Pharmacy Services Division. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in health system home infusion services and an understanding of Specialty Pharmacy. The candidate should also have a deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance associated with Hospital Outpatient Home Infusion. An understanding of the Home Infusion Dispensing System and revenue cycle management. The candidate should also possess leadership skills to be able to communicate and interact with clinicians. The ideal candidate will be a licensed pharmacist with a strong background in clinical operations, patient care, and business management within the home infusion sector.

Essential Functions

Contribute to the development of a strategic plan for Hospital Home Infusion pharmacy. Provide leadership for the Home Infusion program. Develop and implement strategic business plans to increase volumes, market share, revenue, clinical quality, service excellence, and staff engagement. Perform monthly financial reviews of accounts. Oversee and manage infusion centers. Evaluate and enhance infusion processes and procedures for efficiency, recommending strategic growth plans. Implement billing and collections metrics to boost profitability. Optimize resources in billing/collections, inventory management, and information technology. Build and lead strong teams by identifying staffing needs, providing training, and fostering high associate engagement. Provide direction and support to deliver quality services, focusing on positive patient outcomes and organizational success. Set clear goals for the team and ensure access to training, coaching, and feedback. Ensure effective performance management. Address escalated complaints and resolve issues. Ensure outstanding customer service for all infusion services. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Perform duties according to established SOPs and company core values in the best interest of clients. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Basic Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (Required) Pharmacist license current and in good standing (Required) 5 years of management or leadership experience in the relevant area (Required) Thorough knowledge of hospital outpatient home infusion services (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience in leading home infusion programs within health systems. Leadership experience in project management, home infusion accreditation, and 340B programs. Proven track record of driving growth and strategy implementation. Medical billing experience.
