Humana’s Corporate Marketing organization is seeking a strategic marketing leader to join the Acquisition Marketing Team as the Director, Innovation and Segment Marketing working remote anywhere in the US. The Acquisition Marketing team is a part of the Insurance Segment Marketing team and is responsible for developing and executing consumer-centric marketing campaigns designed to drive sales of our Insurance products. In this role, you will specifically work on the Medicare Advantage team with a goal of driving growth for the business. The Medicare Advantage industry is competitive and growing with over half of eligible Medicare beneficiaries choosing a Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare Advantage offers consumers valuable benefits like Dental, Vision and hearing and predictability with a maximum out of pocket cost that Original Medicare does not offer.
As the Director, Innovation and Segment Marketing, you will advance our approach to marketing our individual Medicare Advantage (MA) for significant external and internal consumer audiences, optimizing new member acquisition and retention campaigns. In this role, you will combine proven business acumen, expertise and leadership in shaping a strategic approach to marketing for the business that is both visionary and adept at the details. You will deeply understand the consumer decision journey for healthcare plan selection and key differentiators to make Humana the primary plan of choice. This position requires strong leadership skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, consumer-centric thinking and a deep understanding of segment-specific needs and behaviors.
**Strategic Leadership**
+ Leverage market research, competitive analysis, robust data driven performance insights and anticipated trends to develop marketing strategies that drive growth for the Insurance business
+ Partner closely with sales, strategy and product teams to ensure segment marketing strategies are integrated with business goals and product vision; Serve as a central point of intake and arbitrator of requests
+ Work across the Insurance Services Marketing team to execute key initiatives and develop compelling, integrated go-to-market strategies that drive incremental growth
+ Lead, mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative, positive work environment
+ Ensure segment-specific messaging is consistent with overall brand positioning
+ Stay ahead of market trends, innovations and best practices in segment marketing
+ Master competitive understanding related to this space; understand emerging trends and macro environment
**Execution**
+ Guide the creation and execution of go-to-market plans in partnership with marketing colleagues, key internal business partners, and other cross-functional teams
+ Drive the development of segment marketing deliverables, including segment playbooks (e.g., value proposition, positioning, messaging hierarchies, imagery, content)
+ In close partnership with the Marketing Analytics team, advance tracking and performance indicators to glean key insights that inform strategy and consistently share results and learnings with key stakeholders
+ Develop, effective and “on the fly” internal communications on an as-needed, through all modes of planning document formats, as well as able to handle live/remote report outs in larger forums or scheduled presentations
**Collaboration**
+ Partner across the Insurance Services Marketing team to build and align on an integrated learning agenda for priority segments and testing roadmap across acquisition and member marketing touchpoints
+ Oversee and project manage custom research projects from inception, fielding, analysis and report out, partnering closely with the consumer research team and vendors

**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 8+ years of building and executing highly impactful consumer marketing strategies
+ 2+ years of people management experience
+ Experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Professional Services or CPG
+ Positive track record of driving segment-based customer acquisition and engagement strategies
+ Deep empathy for the customer and ability to translate complexities into simple, comprehensible communications
+ Persuasive storyteller who has demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders; executive presence
+ Expert knowledge and use of marketing frameworks
+ Ability to identify actionable insights and translate them into winning marketing strategies
+ Strategically oriented, resourceful, influential, critical thinker
+ Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs, and win their co-ownership in outcomes
+ Outstanding project management skills and ability to multi-task

**This is a nationwide remote role that will primarily operate on EST/CST business hours.**

**Pay Range**
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$168,000 - $231,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
