Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

As the Director, Internal Communications, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and direction of Moneris’ internal communications, aimed at inspiring and informing a highly engaged workforce through compelling, transformative and strategic communications. You will lead a team of communications professionals responsible for producing and disseminating engaging content across all relevant media formats internally and driving positive engagement.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto, ON office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

Provide strategic direction and partnership via internal communications on organizational updates, strategic direction, internal information/updates to be shared on our product(s), service or brand, ensuring internal communication aligns with business goals and objectives and supports the voice of the Moneris brand and our company culture.

Define and lead the implementation of a defined process for internal communications by developing and deploying guidelines, processes, tools and templates to support the various business partners so they can effectively communicate to Moneris’ employees.

Lead and  provide strategic guidance to a team of internal communications specialists to provide communications tailored to executive leadership team vision and departmental strategies.

Collaborate with the executive leadership team level and others on a strategic basis to develop and deploy organizational news, key announcements, and upcoming events, providing strategic counsel on communications to stakeholders.

Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to the broader organization and a team of experienced communication professionals regarding the creation, curation and distribution of high quality, relevant and engaging content, including email updates, newsletters, videos, and presentations, and consult on the appropriate channel for distribution.

Provide strategic leadership on areas of content generation and production and deploy guidelines, processes, tools and templates to support the various business partners so they can effectively communicate to Moneris’ employees with a specific focus on key communications channels such as employee intranet and regular employee newsletter and other areas as relevant such as employee events, meetings and forums.

Lead the development and execution of all CEO communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and engagement.

Lead the development of an analytics strategy, including defining KPIs to measure the impact of internal communications initiatives and monitor performance and channel metrics and optimize content for audience growth and employee engagement.

Ensure business metrics and key performance indicators are tracking to goals, and provide actionable insights.

Work collaboratively with Moneris’ Creative Lab to develop creative assets as required.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Marketing/ Communications or a related field of study.

10+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in corporate/internal communications.

7+ years of leadership/people management experience.

Experience with communications data analytics and performance management tools.

Experience with digital communications platforms and tools.

Strong project management skills.

Strong experience with digital communication platforms and strategies, content management.

Strong financial understanding with familiarity with budgetary planning and cost reporting.

Ability to leverage AI to enhance productivity.

Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal).

Nice-to-have...

Master's Degree (MBA).

Previous experience in the payment industry.

Bilingual in English and French (reading, writing, and verbal).

Experience in change management communications.
