Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager Rheumatology for International Marketing & Commercial Operations, the Brand Team Lead (BTL) will take responsibility for leading the development of global brand strategy for one of our Rheumatology assets and owns the commercial tactical plan for implementation across geographies.
The BTL will lead a marketing team to ensure that asset brand plans are developed in collaboration with cross functions, and activities are delivered in accordance with project milestones. The BTL will play a leading role helping prepare the organization for product launches, partnering with areas and affiliates in developing launch plans.
This is a senior level role within the International Marketing & Commercial Operations organization and provides a fantastic opportunity for an individual who would like to further their career in global marketing, providing experience of the various brand and governance forums, whilst having the autonomy to make a major impact on our affiliates and customers around the world.

Has command of the product and competitive landscape.Has immunology/rheumatology experience.Provides needed commercial perspective on key marketing decisions such as optimal positioning and messaging to differentiate in the marketplace. Translates the science into marketing initiatives which change the lives of patients.Maintains focus on and consistently triangulates market dynamics, constituents’ needs, and business priorities to determine best, market-advantaged course of action.Action and Accountability:
Determines appropriate actions, executions, tracking and monitoring of Marketing Plans.Drives key initiatives ideation to implementation at the country level.Executes Launch Readiness Reviews by employing leadership and marketing skills. Exhibits P&L mindset and manages own budget effectively.Strategic Impact:
Must have positive attitude, strong written and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives.Formulates and adjusts business plans and actions to achieve business objectives and goals, including financial, constituents and market results.Takes and recommends appropriate strategic decisions and actions for the best interest of AbbVie, franchise and brand at the varying life cycle stages.Effectively orchestrate work across internal teams and external partners.Exhibits strong presence with executive leadership.Qualifications
Key Experience & Competencies:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred. Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing Leadership (Business Unit Director or Business Unit Manager Level).Prior global or regional experience preferred.High level of cross functional team leadership and engagement.Prior launch experience.
