Capital Mrkts Sales & ServiceBMO Capital Markets Corp seeks CM Director-IC Investment Banking I in New York, NY, to utilize expertise in financial markets to cultivate relationships with new and existing clients. Institute cross-selling initiatives to clients across all areas of the firm and transitioning them into significant sales. Operate as a key member of the deal team with efforts to maximize sector penetration and returns. Create client pitch books for financial solutions and lead/participate in client presentations. Monitor client, client industry, and regulatory agencies for potential changes that may affect client portfolio and business needs. Oversee diverse portfolio with progression toward increasing client responsibility. Conduct client visits, business model analysis, and review of industry trends and related regulations. Collaborate with sector coverage partners for clients and prospects to identify and deliver creative and timely solutions. Support credit concurrence and pricing efforts as a client advocate. Recognize opportunities to cross-sell and to grow share of client wallet. Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop roadmap for strategic execution. Create financial models to analyze client portfolios and anticipate client needs. Apply appropriate technical concepts and complete/lead consistent and reliable technical and financial reports/analyses to support client deliverables. Balance risk appetite with client needs when making recommendations/proposals. Identify and act on the delivery of meaningful revenue, cost reduction, and capital optimization opportunities.
Requires: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Financial and Investment Analyst or related occupation in investment banking, including negotiating and structuring financial transactions. Required experience: developing business in a corporate lending environment; Creating and delivering professional product ideas and presentations to external clients and internal committees and teams; Structuring and negotiating terms for high yield bonds and leveraged loan products; and performing financial modeling and financial analysis related to leveraged finance and capital markets. Hybrid position, 1-2 days remote per week.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
