The Director, IT - Revenue Cycle has overall responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of IT Revenue Cycle Systems including setting strategic direction in line with business goals, and communication of performance between the IT organization and internal and external users. The Director, IT - Revenue Cycle must provide leadership and strategic direction for revenue cycle applications and collaborate across departmental boundaries to ensure IT goals and LCMC priorities are met on time and within budget. Manages all revenue cycle applications team members and addresses any conflicts or grievances in a timely manner. The Director, IT - Revenue Cycle serves as the liaison between the Information Technology (IT) Department and its major revenue cycle end users across the LCMC system at both the corporate and hospital entities.

Leadership and Direction:
Provides leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range plans; collects, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports, and recommendations. Coordinates department activities with other departments and agencies as needed.Provides continuous feedback to intended audiences regarding priorities and status of work being performed.Leads efforts to develop and implement core competencies, frameworks, and processes.Lends subject-matter advise to appropriate audiences; makes presentations to committees, task forces, and other groups as needed.Demonstrates and actively promotes compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies (i.e., patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, etc.).Is receptive to differing ideas and embraces change.Adheres to policies and procedures, as well as the Code of Conduct and all laws and regulations. Performs duties in an ethical manner.Applies job knowledge to develop policies and procedures and improve work processes.Ensures staff remain current with required certifications and knowledge necessary to efficiently support assigned technologies.Drives accountability through timely delivery of assignments and tasks, delegating issues to the appropriate staff as necessary.Budget & Expense Management:
Ensures assigned areas of responsibility are operating within budget. Monitors cost to assigned areas to ensure sound fiscal control. Prepares annual budget requests; ensures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.Participates in strategic planning and budgeting process. Reviews system objectives and budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information. Analyzes the operating and capital budgets and expenditures for enterprise's IT functions and operations.Oversees work schedules and workflow. Analyzes and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.Communication / Documentation:
Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and inspects work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and accurate. Uses positive non-verbal communication effectively.Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances. Performs or helps subordinates in performing duties. Adjusts errors and complaints.Prepares status reports as necessary.Prepares and controls agendas for meetings. Organizes and consolidates required reports. Monitors and reports the overall productivity and efficiency.Maintains current documentation that describe appropriate IT operational processes.Ensures accountability through timely follow-through and escalation as required.Partnerships:
Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with other departments, groups, and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced.Actively promotes and supports performance improvement initiatives (i.e., participates in ongoing education, cultural change initiatives, etc.).Maintains effective relationships with internal and external business leaders, vendors, and staff as required.Other duties as required:
Maintains periodic contact with strategic sourcing partners and outside peers to remain current with industry trends and best practices.Reports periodically on the competitive positions of technology and staffing of IT functions as compared with comparable industry benchmarks.May negotiate contracts with vendors, consultants and service providers as required.Performs other required duties as assigned.The Must-Haves
Minimum:
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Required: 7 years of IT experience.Required: 3 years of experience leading and managing mid-size technology teams.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Experience building or leading teams, supporting mid-sized similar organizations.Experience sponsoring successful implementation of IT projects.Exhibit a high degree of customer service, cooperation, teamwork, initiative and exceptional judgment.Demonstrated ability to achieve time-based objectives, balance multiple priorities, communicate effectively while remaining organized.Experience negotiating IT services and solutions with industry-leading vendors.Excellent communication skills required for articulating technical thoughts and ideas to business leaders and decision makers.WORK SHIFT:
