Purpose of RoleThe Director of LATAM Supply Chain is a key regional leader responsible for end-to-end supply chain execution across Distribution, Account Services, and Compliance in Latin America, with a strong focus on the Mexico market. This role will drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across order fulfillment, customer compliance, and 3PL performance.
This position serves as the strategic lead for regional supply chain execution, managing third-party logistics partners, leading customer order-to-cash operations, and ensuring customer-specific requirements are met to drive revenue and margin. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with regional and global teams and act as the senior point of accountability for supply chain performance in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
• Lead Distribution, Account Services, and Compliance functions across Latam, delivering results across cost, service level, and quality metrics.
• Represent the region in global and regional supply chain strategy development, long-range planning, and execution governance.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across the supply chain, creating scalable SOPs and cross-functional alignment.
2. Distribution & 3PL Oversight
• Own the regional distribution strategy and relationship with the 3PL partner, ensuring execution against contractual SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional coordination to resolve fulfillment, logistics, or warehousing issues impacting customer service or budget performance.
• Guide network strategy and capacity planning efforts to support long-term growth across wholesale and distributor channels.
• Oversee final mile logistics, delivery performance, and continuous transformation toward a data-driven, exception-based execution model.
3. Order-to-Cash & Customer Fulfillment
• Oversee the entire order-to-cash process for regional customers, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective fulfillment execution.
• Align shipping targets with Commercial, Finance, and Account Services stakeholders and ensure supply chain readiness to support sales plans.
• Maximize revenue and customer satisfaction by eliminating process gaps, improving responsiveness, and enhancing customer engagement.
4. Account Services Strategy
• Provide strategic direction to the account services team responsible for managing customer orders, inquiries, and fulfillment expectations.
• Lead service delivery efforts that improve wholesale and distributor experience, reduce dwell time, and increase delivery accuracy.
• Participate in customer planning and top-to-top engagements, aligning on operational improvements and service models.
5. Customer Compliance & Profitability
• Ensure adherence to customer-specific compliance requirements including labeling, documentation, packaging, and VAS (value-added services).
• Oversee root cause analysis and resolution of chargebacks, and implement strategies to reduce customer deductions and improve profitability.
• Lead customer onboarding for new accounts or process changes; support negotiation of compliance terms, waivers, or exceptions when needed.
• Drive accountability by analyzing supply chain scorecards, chargeback trends, and vendor performance data to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
6. People Leadership
• Manage and develop a cross-functional team; build a high-performance culture that emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Coach direct reports and broader team members on performance expectations, professional development, and succession planning.
• Create an inclusive, engaged team environment aligned with global supply chain values and culture.
• University Degree
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, distribution, logistics, or customer fulfillment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of LATAM logistics networks and distribution dynamics; Mexico-specific knowledge preferred.
• Proven track record managing 3PL relationships, customer compliance, and cross-functional execution in a complex matrix organization.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical and project management skills; able to drive change through influence, data, and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting to senior leadership and external partners.
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico City office.
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week,
Travel: UA Distribution Houses/3PLs, Customer Distribution Centers, Industry Conferences
