Director, Learning and Development
We're hiring a Director, Learning and Development! The Director, Learning and Development leads professional development training projects and initiatives. Serves as a company expert on learning and development. If applicable, ensures that the training programs meet regulations. Measures the impact of programs and learning activities. Approves new training techniques and suggests improvement to existing training programs. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. What you will be doing in this role: + Think strategically and be innovative about how professional development and training can contribute to company and department goals. + Manage all aspects of a project from proposal stage to production ensuring quality assurance, usability, implementation and application support, and outcomes are met. + Collaborate with department team leads and provide leadership for department projects and initiatives. + Design and deliver training content for all platforms, including asynchronous, live virtual, classroom, etc. and make decisions about what modality best fits outcomes + Supervise and follow all IACET standards and contribute to CEU approval and standard assessment process if applicable. + Coordinate and supervise work of outside vendors involved with project development including the selection, management, and billing of those vendors. + Develop strategy and vision for use of training practices, such as needs assessment methods to analyze the learning needs of the customer and determine most effective learning interventions. + Understand and apply the levels of measurement, design measurement tools and strategies, assess results, and make decisions based on measurement results. + Design and develop professional development and training programs and resources using instructional design principles, the ADDIE or SAM model, and using a variety of delivery methods such as instructor led workshops, computer based training, and enhanced PowerPoint materials. Design solutions that lead to learning transfer. Assess impact of solutions and resolve with agility, critical + thinking, and innovation. + Lead and manage special workgroups or teams , and forge collaborative partnerships with SMEs, other internal teams such as focus groups, and special project teams. + Assist with educational and development aspects of conferences including presentation of workshops and other training activities as well as contribute to the team to provide outstanding customer service prior, during and following the event. + Collaborate with other departments on special projects and initiatives as required. + Supervise learning & development managers, specialists, coordinators, or interns as needed. What we hope you will bring to this role: + Bachelor's Degree or related field - Required + 7 years of developing and facilitating adult learning and training - Required **Additional Job Requirements** + **Travel** - This position requires travel 2 times a month (or more for conferences or meetings) + Demonstrated training facilitation skills. + Basic Intermediate computer software skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint. + Strong background in early childhood education is preferred. + Strong writing skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + E-learning and webinar facilitation experience is preferred. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000.
