They will leverage their deep expertise in logistics management systems, strong analytical skills, and strategic leadership to optimize inventory control, maximize sales, and ensure timely deliveries. This involves overseeing the flow of materials from suppliers to customers, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and driving a collaborative, business-focused approach across the organization **This role in summary** The Director of Logistics will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of the company's logistics operations. This role is critical in optimizing the supply chain, coordinating efficient and cost-effective transportation and storage of products, and driving operational excellence. Through an understanding of both the operational and strategic aspects of logistics, the Director will be adept at leveraging technology, driving cost efficiencies, and building collaborative relationships to optimize the company's supply chain and contribute to its overall success. **Your responsibilities will include** + Supply Chain Management Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, from sourcing to final delivery, including strategies for mitigating disruptions (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters, geopolitical conflicts). + Logistics Technology Proficiency: Expertise in logistics management tools and systems, including ERP and TMS, with a commitment to leveraging technological innovations such as automation and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency. + Cost Management & Financial Acumen: Proven ability to monitor, control, and optimize logistics costs, developing and implementing cost-effective strategies while identifying savings opportunities without compromising quality or service. + Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and partners, build strong relationships, and optimize supply chain value. + Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and implement logistics strategies that are tightly aligned with the company's overarching business objectives, including market analysis, goal setting, and KPI identification. + Data Analysis & Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to interpret logistics data and metrics, identify inefficiencies, and drive operational improvements through data-driven insights. + Adaptability & Resilience: Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to market changes and evolving business needs, effectively responding to unforeseen challenges and maintaining alignment with organizational objectives. + Sustainability Focus: Commitment to implementing sustainable logistics practices that minimize environmental impact, such as optimizing transport routes and utilizing eco-friendly packaging solutions. + Foster Effective Communication and Collaboration: Clearly articulate logistics strategies and facilitate seamless communication across internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure alignment and proactively address any logistical challenges. + Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: Inspire and guide the logistics team, cultivating a collaborative and accountable work environment while setting a clear vision and empowering team members to achieve their full potential. + Drive Talent Development and Organizational Growth: Establish high-performance standards and utilize coaching techniques to develop talent within the logistics organization **Minimum requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in a related field. + A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in supply chain management. + A minimum of five (5) years of people leadership experience. + Experience managing cross-functional partnerships and collaborating with various business units. + Experience with supply chain technologies and digital transformation initiatives. + Specific Expertise in logistics management tools and systems, including ERP and TMS and automation technology. + Proficiency in English (fluent); Spanish is a plus. **Preferred skills and experiences** + MBA or graduate degree is strongly preferred. + Familiarity with manufacturing processes, preferably in the consumer goods or appliance industry. + Experience in the Appliance Industry.
