WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This position is an opportunity to lead a team of Mainframe z/OS System professionals, to manage, support, and deploy IBM  & ISV mainframe and modernization software products.  Mainframe & Modernization products allow applications to access mainframe services much more easily and with less knowledge of mainframe and are important to ease development of applications on other platforms that need to access mainframe data and services.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Manage a team of system programmers to provide technical currency for products.

Liaise with the various support teams in Production Mainframe Services, Mainframe Operating Systems group, application development groups, and any other clients of supported products.

Maintains strong operational knowledge of Mainframe products (Compilers, Language Environment, DevOps products etc.)

Provide expertise and software management and support skills for mainframe products.

Provide leadership and direction over current IBM & ISV products as well as next generation products.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

Familiarity with and strong adherence to change management processes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A strong understanding of & experience in mainframe z/OS technology

Commitment to excellence in deliverables and support

Champion strong software management and technology currency.

Nice-to-have: 

Prior experience managing a team.

Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers.

Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
