+ Director of Margin Improvement will own the Margin Improvement program for Surgical Solutions.
+ Develop and implement a margin up strategy for kitting and services to optimize profitability and enhance competitive positioning.
+ The incumbent will identify and implement high impact/large scale initiatives to deliver sustainable improvement to gross margin.
+ S/he will collaborate across cross-functional division leadership to gain broad alignment for the long-term strategy, as well as short-term execution of critical projects and programs.
+ Develops roadmap to achieve Surgical Solutions gross margin profile and gains alignment with cross functional senior leadership team and other key stakeholders.
+ Defines roadmap milestones and tracks and reports progress against those milestones
+ Establishes proactive, transparent, and effective communications cadence to ensure timely dissemination of information with the senior leadership team and other stakeholders
+ Performs benchmarking and cost structure analysis to identify significant opportunities for improvement across functions
+ Partners with the leadership team to define and assign goals, develop project funnels, support execution, and manage/mitigate risks
+ Builds cross-functional network of champions across all areas of the Owens to ideate, evaluate, and implement specific projects and actions to achieve goals
+ Ensures high impact programs are defined, resourced, and implemented in order to achieve financial objectives, as defined in the long-term strategy
+ Ensures effective change management plans are defined to identify and mitigate risk and ensure sustainability of the changes
+ Develops and deploys sustaining tools and processes to support the evaluation and identification of opportunities across direct and indirect spend areas
+ Provide cross-functional leadership and collaboration for identifying and implementing kitting margin up opportunities to improve operating profit, and market share gains.
+ Monitor the local and global supplier marketplace to collect business intelligence, perform market analysis and proactively identify opportunities to improve margin.
+ Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and areas for margin improvement.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to align on strategic initiatives and ensure seamless execution of the margin enhancement plan.
+ Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
+ Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities related to margin enhancement.
+ Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform and adapt the margin enhancement strategy accordingly.
+ Other duties as assigned
