The role is responsible for the development and execution of Market Access and Government Affairs strategies. The individual will work in close collaboration with local Business leaders and will implement and execute and country specific Market Access & Government Affairs programs in alignment with the Business Units imperatives to secure patients' access to Edwards Lifesciences products at optimal conditions and will ensure early input into the access strategy and evidence development.
How you will make an impact:
1. Develop and execute the market access strategy for each of Edwards Lifesciences current and pipeline technologies.
• Define and implement cross-BU strategies of market access in pricing & reimbursement, private health insurance, and self-pay strategy.
• Coordinate the implementation of the access action plans with local and JAPAC teams and resources,
• Engage with country authorities to ensure successful implementation of market access and procurement strategies, from evidence submissions to advocacy activities, adapting JAPAC value propositions to local requirements,
• Develop innovative health economics strategies, value assessment tools and economic evaluations of new technology,
• Responsible the monitoring about the changes in the health policy and funding environment and conditions for the Edwards Lifesciences portfolio.
• Establish, maintain and strengthen a network of contacts with access stakeholders including payers, HTA bodies and procurement agencies.
• Develop and support a comprehensive understanding of the external access policy and decision-maker environment.
• Lead the identification, prioritization and management of the strategic issues that matter to the business, in close collaboration with the Country and Business Units Leads.
• Ensure optimal Edwards representation in the local industry organizations in access-related working groups/topics
2. Develop the government affairs strategies and responsible for the execution of these strategies for Edwards aligning with overall business strategy and the threats and opportunities in the external policy environment.
• Engage strategic engagement and government relations with key government and other stakeholder considering the strategy and priorities and drive a plan to build and sustain excellent relationships with those stakeholders.
• Develop strong relationship and network with critical stakeholders in policy field to track healthcare policy, legislation, regulations, and reimbursement trends. This includes government bodies, interest groups, payers, and medical societies.
• Coordinate the overall engagement with country industry associations to ensure Edwards’ position maintaining strong leadership in appropriate industry associations and drives associations for effective policy advocacy on priorities of concern to Edwards.
3. Work in collaboration with JAPAC Public Affairs and Global Public Affairs, as well as cross-functional business partners on the special strategic partnerships/projects. Work with designated trade and business associations on political, legislative, regulatory and communications issues of importance to the company in country and/or JAPAC

What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in healthcare-related fields, 15 years experience of market access, health economics and reimbursement, government relation, government affairs or relevant fields Required.
