The Director of Maternal Child Health is responsible for directing strategy, operations and the clinical practice environment. The service line includes Labor & Delivery, Maternity, Special Care Nursery and Pediatrics. The Director of MCH works closely with Medical Directors. L &D has a laborist program, residency program and private providers to do over 1400 deliveries annually. A clinical affiliation with Tufts Children’s hospital is in place for pediatrics and neonatology. The Director will promote standardized systems ensuring a strong nursing practice environment and a philosophy of patient centered care. The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion as the hospital has elevated its commitment and journey. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to excellence, innovations in practice, teamwork, and a focus on family-centered care. This position reports to the Senior Vice-President of Operations/Chief Nursing Officer. Requirements include current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure. Bachelor's degree and Master’s degree in nursing also required. Must have 5 years' experience in maternal child health care in an acute care hospital, and a minimum of 3 years' management experience and demonstrated leadership. Nursing leadership and clinical certifications preferred.
