This role is a key leader for the team in our efforts to build the strongest class, with strategic oversight of our Board processes. The director will be instrumental in developing and leading a team of interviewers and observers as a key part of our admissions evaluation. The director must be comfortable moving from key detail orientation and depth of knowledge in our processes, to assisting in outreach efforts as a member of the team that represents the MBA Program to prospective students both internationally and domestically. We seek a candidate with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex issues, contributing to an engaged and high-performing team. Evaluation process and support: Responsible for the MBA admissions evaluation process + Admissions Board: Manage industry evaluation process including managing industry teams, setting goals and coaching industry teams, and ensuring that teams are delivering on goals. + Evaluation: Evaluate MBA admissions candidates through application review and interviewing as a full member of the MBA Admissions Board. Screen applicants in specific industries and archive knowledge in that area. This includes reading applications, making recommendations for interview, interviewing, making recommendations for admission. + Interviewers and Observers: Continue to build our bench of and develop interviewers and observers + Data and Analytics: Run analysis to ensure we are building the strongest class + Technology: Work on our platform, Slate, and enhance capabilities within the tool + Process: manage the process logistics including the calendar, capacity model, screening assignments + Application management: continue to refine the application by refining questions, defining data needs, designing forms, establishing verification needs + Waitlist: Oversee management of waitlist + Meetings: participate in cross campus information sharing and regular departmental meetings.
