Director, Medicaid CFO
**Job Description** The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Healthy Blue’s North Carolina Medicaid Managed Care Program drives financial performance by providing strategic feedback on product performance, business initiatives, and cost efficiency. This role ensures seamless cross-functional collaboration and oversees all accounting and finance operations, including audits. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including audit activities. + Advocate for the quality and financial sustainability of the Medicaid business. + Develop spending and business initiative recommendations based on financial trends. + Conduct ad-hoc analyses to ensure financial diligence before finalizing decisions. + Produce financial performance reports to maintain transparency in market financial health. + Support financial planning and manage all financial levers. + Track market P&L and escalate financial performance risks to senior leadership. + Monitor and report on membership demographics and changes. + Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on risk considerations and implementation costs. + Utilize segment analytics to inform both short-term and long-term affordability recommendations. + Foster stakeholder collaboration across the entire organization as well as with external entities, including the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services + Oversee material financial transactions. **Hiring Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and 10 years of related experience, or 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. + Strong knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care. + **Must reside in North Carolina (relocation assistance considered)** **Preferred Skills:** + The CFO must be a trustworthy and responsible professional with unquestionable integrity, credibility, and ethical character and behavior. + Demonstrated ability to provide financial leadership, including strategic thinking, business acumen, managing others, and providing clear direction with staff at all levels throughout the organization. + Ability to build relationships and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. + Ability to partner with the CEO, board of directors, and key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives. + Ability to align individual goals with the strategic goals of the organization, as well as understand external impacts on internal strategy. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to management, board, or other outside partners. **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
