Director, Merchandising Distributor & Retail
Overview

As the Director of Merchandising for Distributors & Retail, your responsibility is to drive the regional Product and Merchandising vision for Crocs across the respective channels. Our company is a fast paced, agile and growth-driven business and you will be responsible for driving the Global Merchandising vision across distributor markets and owned and operated retail stores. 


This role has full responsibility for the Retail and Distributor channels throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa, and our Latin American markets. This role leads a team of 4 individuals based in Europe and LATAM, and is responsible for the coaching, development and engagement of this experienced and energetic Merchandising group. 


You will be someone that loves diving into the consumer and building great product storytelling, but also a strong leader who can influence and implement your vision with customers and internal stakeholders. 
You will bring a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to an exciting brand which is heavily invested in Product leadership and continuing to disrupt the Footwear industry.
 

What You'll Do

Commercial Partnership and Influencing 

Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills A proven background in commercial partnerships and a solutions-focused approach in Merchandising within DTC, Distributor and Wholesale channels. Significant experience working with buyers, accounts and partners across the EMEA marketplace, and a very strong understanding of retail DTC and distributor mechanics.

 

Consumer & Market knowledge

Develop and share expert knowledge of the EMEA consumer and marketplace. Be the voice of the Distributor & Retail business in presentations, meetings and conversations both internally and with our Global product and merchandising teams. Understand segmentation and different consumer types and organize this into clear knowledge of product and buying behavior.

 

Deliver high-level Merchandising Tools

Lead a team to deliver exceptional tools and process to ensure GTM success. Create and present seasonal visual Assortment plans for key channels and customers across EMEA. Deliver presentations and content that clearly articulates priorities, key products and inspires and motivates stakeholders. Through formal and informal communication, deliver strong messages about merchandising plans 

 

Planning, analysis and data

Focus on productivity and efficiency. Edit and focus stories and product offerings to tell bigger messages. Forecasting through historical sales and insight of future trends. Ability to read and interpret sales data and analytics to gain strong understand of consumer and trends.

 

Stakeholder Management and Organization leadership and influencing.

Be the voice of the distributor product needs withing a complex, matrix global organization. Build outstanding relationships with cross-functional partners and global product leaders. Demonstrate exceptional communication and influencing skills at all levels through to C-Suite. What You'll Bring to the Table Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business or related field 12+ years of Merchandising Experience 7+ years in Merchandising or Commercial leadership. Preference given to experience in the EMEA & LATAM markets. Deep knowledge & experience of the Distributors, Wholesale and Retail landscape across the EMEA and global footwear segment. Exceptional strategic Merchandising skills. Proven ability in driving successful growth strategies in complex environments. Ability to effectively navigate a Matrix organization with successful partnership and relationship focus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Can influence effectively both internally and externally from mid to senior level stakeholders. Self-starter who works well in fast-paced and high-performance environment Innovative, flexible, and creative problem-solving skills
