Director, MX DTC Marketing Strategy

Role and Responsibilities

The Samsung direct-to-consumer eCommerce team is looking for a Marketing Strategy Director within the eCommerce Mobile Experience Category Management team to drive the business performance of performance marketing activities driving to Samsung.com. This role will be a cross-functional leader providing guidance and recommendations for expanding and optimizing marketing activities, working closely with Corporate and Product Marketing teams. This role will be the accountable for driving qualified traffic and ROI on marketing investments. This role will have high-visibility with senior leadership and be a cross-functional leader accountable for delivering results.

Responsibilities:

Define and prioritize product focus for performance marketing activities to align to business targets and priorities

Collaborate with performance marketing teams to define audience segmentation strategies and tailor targeting tactics to maximize ROI

Track and monitor marketing plans and activities by channel and product category weekly

Partner with Business Planning and Site Analytics teams to develop Traffic / Conversion / Average Order Value targets by channel and by week to ladder up to business financial targets and identify shortfalls or gaps

Analyze marketing performance and identify over or under-performing activities to optimize investment and results

Track competitor activities and market investment to identify opportunities to maximize returns

Review and provide input into weekly marketing copy and content execution to drive engagement and conversion

Track the marketing budget allocations, and monthly spending, and develop business cases for incremental investment when needed to close gap to targets

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience, including 3+ years with eCommerce performance marketing responsibility

MBA or graduate degree preferred

Strong leader, able to deliver results by partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Proficient in data analysis and generating insight driven recommendations, particularly working with marketing data sets and KPIs

Self-starter, able to proactively identify opportunities and lead teams to implement

Results-oriented, not afraid of being accountable to hitting monthly and quarterly business targets

Strong verbal and written communicator, able to develop polished presentations and reporting for senior leadership

Demonstrated success in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment with ability to respond to changing priorities without loss in performance or productivity

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive influence across many levels of the organization
