DIRECTOR, NEUROHOSPITALIST DEPARTMENT
The Department of Neurology, at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic departments associated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is currently seeking a Director of our Division of Neurohospitalists. This leadership position represents an exciting opportunity to participate in as well as to help to shape our Departmental clinical care, teaching and research mission for trainees and junior faculty across our broad-based hospital network with a focus on our two flagship hospitals. In this capacity, the successful candidate will interface with other Departmental senior leadership to optimize clinical care, education, scholarly activities and also with subspecialty programs and centers of excellence to provide our Neurohospitalists with the potential to participate such subspecialty programs to augment their own education and to provide a more academic setting to enhance recruitment and retention.
Responsibilities include: Multidisciplinary rounds, scheduling, 22 weeks of service time performing Neurology consultations and supervising Neurology Residents, Physician Assistants and students. Our Moses campus has 15 beds and Weiler campus has 10 beds. To qualify, you must be a Board-Eligible or Certified Neurologist with interests in hospital-based patient care and clinical teaching.
