Job Description:

The New Business Operations Director is responsible for all business development rhythms including: pipeline analysis, discretionary budget management, new business lean six sigma process improvement, CRM administration and data integrity, trade shows, data visualizations, and general new business analytics for the Space & Airborne Systems Segment.  The role will report to the Sr Director, Strategy & BD Operations and work closely with the Strategy, Capture, Business Development, and Finance teams.  The position will support the SAS S&BD organization with internal facing activities to enable successful new business growth objectives. The position will directly support the Segment President reporting and analysis requests. 

Essential Functions:

Coordination and generation of executive level briefings, working directly with VP and directors within SAS Segment, Sectors, and DivisionsCoordination of data calls, working with the BD team to provide timely, accurate and complete information to support requests and efforts.Management of trade show leads.Ability to develop staff.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional and cross segment teams.Working with Finance to facilitate long-range planning cycles.Management of SAS discretionary funds. Develop and track new business data metrics.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Capture, or Sales Operations.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.Ability to manage several tasks occurring simultaneously.Comfortable working with all levels of leadership, in particular SAS Segment ExecutivesStrong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead and manage a team of eight professionals.Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.Requires high-energy, advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.

Disciplined, self-starting professional who can bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversightProficiency with Microsoft office toolsFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed peopleKnowledge of the L3Harris Business Acquisition Process (BAP)Demonstrated ability in data analytics, data visualizations, budget managementKnowledge of or experience with trade show planning and executionMust work independently under limited supervisionMust have excellent oral and written communication skillsFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement
