As an Engineering Test Platform Leader within the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineering team, you will lead a talented team of engineers to develop and qualify cost-effective engineering test platforms and solve complex problems. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of test hardware and software, FW along with NAND, UFS, and PCIe protocol knowledge. You and your team will enable the PE test infrastructure and platforms to test, debug, and characterize NAND components and system products by closely working with cross-functional teams such as Test Engineering, System Integration, ASIC, and FW teams, assisting in the qualification and ramping of cutting-edge NAND and system Micron products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and qualify PE test hardware, platforms, firmware, and softwareCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Test Engineering, System Integration, ASIC, FW, Product Engineering, and Operations, to align testing efforts with business goals and secure necessary test fixtures for memory and system testingProvide engineering test solutions (hardware and software) for product development, NAND/system characterization, and silicon debug capabilitiesDevelop data crunching, analysis, and reporting tools to support engineering experimentationDrive the adoption of automation tools and practices to enhance testing efficiency and coverageSupport new protocol enablement (SCA-Separate Command Address, ONFI, UFS, PCIe) and capability bring-upConduct test capability gap analysis against product requirements and define/execute a test capability roadmapConduct hiring and provide technical and management training and expertiseRoutinely communicate overall project status to leadership and cross-functional product teamsProvide guidance through debug and resolution of product-related issuesSet performance management guidelines for engineers and leadsRoutinely provide guidance on career development within your teamQualifications:
Knowledge of storage interfaces such as High-Speed ONFI, UFS, PCIe, etc.Understanding of memory and storage system behavior, architecture, and designExperience with NAND and system productsExcellent statistical knowledge, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong organizational, communication, presentation, and leadership skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changeAbility to lead cross-functional teams to understand and resolve a wide variety of issuesSelf-motivated and enthusiastic in a challenging, dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and achieve the best outcomes for MicronEducation:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering10+ years of experience in semiconductor testing, including hardware and software knowledge, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
