Charles Schwab's Offer Management team is responsible for the strategic planning, business analysis, concept design and change management of our wealth management delivery professionals at Schwab. The Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) Offer Management & Enhancements team is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and evolving this premier wealth management program. Our mandate is to drive the implementation of initiatives and critical workstreams in integration projects to support the evolution of the SWA offer. To do this, we work with partners and delivery organizations to ensure key processes / interactions are designed and executed smoothly. We also manage tradeoff decisions and priorities to enhance the SWA offer experience and drive revenue growth.

 

The Director is an individual contributor role that reports to the team leader responsible for implementing key initiatives to enhance SWA.  The Director will lead multiple initiatives at varying stages of the project life cycle, including shaping the strategic vision and obtaining approvals for new initiatives, managing in-flight projects and partnering with different workgroups to develop and deploy the finished product to the field. The work occurs in partnership with cross-functional teams from SWA, Inc. and various Retail functions, including technology, operations, field enablement, training, marketing, and various oversight organizations, including legal, compliance, and risk management.  This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute and lead through influence and collaboration across enterprises.

 

Currently, the team is focused on projects related to regulatory and pricing support and multiple product integrations. The role will evolve as priorities are refined over time.

 

Key responsibilities

Lead projects from strategic development through tactical implementation stages. Design solutions that address Schwab Representative and client needs and fit within the regulatory environment, and ensure that risk management is part of the design. Lead cross-functional teams to manage all or components of deliverables on multiple projects, ensuring that team members are both aligned with the vision and working efficiently to deliver the intended experiences for reps and clients. Work through challenges to projects by partnering well with colleagues and identifying alternate ways to accomplish the project’s objectives. Display flexibility and the ability to adapt as new information is uncovered and projects adjust accordingly. What you have 7-10 years of relevant experience, with 5+ years within financial servicesA client-centric focus – keep clients in forefront of decisions, connects plans and actions to our purpose of serving clientsAbility to think critically and set strategic direction, including ability to identify initiatives, problem-solve and execute programs to meet strategic objectivesAbility to make significant progress with minimal direction and to make decisions, pivot and structure pathways forward in the face of ambiguityDemonstrable leadership and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus with partners at all levelsSuperior communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive experience in succinctly synthesizing data and developing recommendations in strong business stories with PowerPoint, and effectively present to executive audiencesSuperior analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and attention to detailStrong planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity simultaneously, with a high sense of urgencyExpert user of PowerPoint and ExcelCFP, CFA or MBA preferredSeries 7 preferred
