In this role, you will work with the EVP, Chief Information and Data Officer (CIDO) to design and lead the Enterprise Technology strategy, lead strategic initiatives, support the overall effectiveness of the organization, and serve as their “right-hand”. This role is a highly strategic role, serving three core functions: (1) a strategic thought partner to define and evolve our technology strategy, (2) an orchestrator to connect the dots, support senior executive decision making, and drive the operating rhythm for the organization, and (3) a strategic initiatives leader to accelerate the impact of our strategy. You will also partner closely with senior executive leaders across Enterprise Technology and The Walt Disney Company.
**Responsibilities**
+ Partner with the CIDO to create the Enterprise Technology strategy
+ Identify and create Technology business cases to create technical and business solutions.
+ Vet new technical solutions and proposals and connect the appropriated technical resources to the appropriate projects.
+ Lead a variety of special technical projects and initiatives on behalf of the CIDO and assist in critical decision-making.
+ Lead research, stakeholder coordination, content development and preparation for high-level presentations to senior executive audiences.
+ Develop presentation materials covering highly technical content.
+ Analyze and interpret technology business performance measures and tell a story behind the data.
+ Lead the Technology Skills Training function; partner with Human Resources to design and implement a technical skills inventory.
+ Implement and run a robust, disciplined management operating system and rhythm (e.g. agile ceremonies).
+ Partner with the VP, Technology Transformation to track and report on KPI scorecards
+ Manage a variety of diverse - and sometimes conflicting – requests, priorities, and activities.
+ Work with key partners to develop the brand of technology and data internally and externally
T&D Strategy & Organization
+ **Organizational Restructuring:** Effectively partner with the leadership team and HR to drive organizational transformation, including frameworks, strategies and employee communication. Partner with the CIDO to articulate the strategy, approach, and vision for organizational transformation.
+ **Leadership Team Operating Cadence** : Define the leadership team’s operating cadence through meetings. Manage LT offsites to shape Enterprise Technology’s strategy and align on shared LT priorities. Ensure follow-up and implementation of decisions after meetings and offsites.
+ **Operating Cadence:** Define and establish Office of the CIDO operating cadence, including definition and activation of Office of the CIDO roles and responsibilities.
Communications & Cast Engagement
+ **Internal Events:** Successfully deliver engagement events like Town Halls, holiday engagements, heritage months, and targeted employee engagement efforts.
+ **External Events:** Lead the definition and execution of Enterprise Technology’s external engagements – i.e., Special Olympics Partnership & Golf Invitational and the Disney Data and Analytics Conference; partner with Talent Acquisition to participate in speaking engagements at key universities to further the talent strategy and pipeline.
**Qualifications:**
+ Ability to create and implement mission, vision and roadmap
+ Extensive strategic and modern technology and data skills at the leadership level, and ability to communicate these simply is a must
+ Experience successfully developing and executing strategy and business plans
+ Ability to lead program management efforts to ensure successful execution of initiatives
+ Strong collaboration skills; ability to engage with internal and external senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives
+ Proven ability to drive innovation and adaptability within and across teams
+ Extensive and positive working relationship across Disney is a plus
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $202,900.00 to $272,100.00 per year and in New York City, NY is $212,600 to $285,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
